Camelbak Skyline Review - The Best "Hip" Pack???

I'm pretty sure they copied this design from Wingnut. I loved the wingnut design. I now have an Osprey Raptor.. But the problem with my Osprey and most packs with a hip belt is that when I adjust them as you did, the inside of the shoulder straps dig into my collar bones pretty bad. Do you have any issue with that? I'll probably see if I can find one locally to try on.. I found this pack while searching for the Wingnut. I have a long torso and fat belly. (almost a 38 waist) Most of these packs are made for someone much fitter and a bit shorter. I think if you're 5'2 to 5'9 and 100-160 lbs, you have your pick of any pack. But for the big boys and girls, good luck. ha.

Nice job on the review. I’m considering this pack, but wanted to know how big of an item can fit in the hip pockets, accessed while continuing to ride, or at least stopped without taking the bag off. I know you said your phone would fit, but what do you think are the max LxWxH that would fit? Three Clif Bars? Two? Just trying to get an idea. I love my hip pack, but can’t access much without at least loosening the hip strap and rotating it all the way around. I hate having to do that just to get a snack while riding.

Ride Alongside I can’t say the exact dimensions for sure but the pockets taper open as they go back so I imagine you could get 3 cliff bars in each pretty easily!
