One thing that has not been brought to the debate, is the power of Sony music. Sony merged with EMI music publishing, controlling about 70 percent of popular music publishing globally. High cost for content in Australia via APRA/sony makes it difficult for small internet services to provide content to Australian small business/public. Australian music artists can't deal independently/directly with their content outside APRA, US artists can. US corporations facebook/google have cornered the market, Murdock takes up the slack #ApraRoyalCommission
On point. More importantly thought is the copyright violations done by Universal Music Group. And of course that "Fire".
