I honestly still hate Mori for the fact he basically manipulated and somewhat sold Odasaku's life, but.. I don't hate him entirely since there are probably far worse anime characters than him. Yes, I know he's manipulative, a lolicon, probably a p3d0- yea.. I think what makes Mori great is that he isn't 2-dimensional. He's a pedophile, a manipulator, a colossal asshole, but what drives him is the love he has for the city. He doesn't hate everything for no reason, he's cunning and smart and that's what makes him dangerous. He's goof, too. Lol

Mori doesn’t care about Dazai nor his well-being. Mori quite literally used Dazai as a test subject and a ‘dog’ to do all his work. And possibly even groomed Dazai. He killed Odasaku ON PURPOSE just to hurt dazai.
I agree that mori killed Oda on purpose but not to hurt Dazai, it was for the benefits of the Port Mafia. Mori is willing to do anything for the pm in order to protect Yokohama, so to protect yokohama in the future when he dies, he needs a new mafia boss. In that case, I think Dazai was the one that he chose. Because of his personality in my view, he is a bad guy but not the kind that will traumatize children for pleasure.
