I'd add some safety wire or something to hold the GoPro on in case a bolt on the pivot comes loose even for normal riding. I lost one of my GoPros on a long ride. Since it was mounted on the back, I have no idea when it disappeared. Really sucks when it happens! Secure it well! Motorcycles rattle things loose!
I like to use a handle bar mount attached to a bar end weight on one of my clipons. Clutch side allows you to turn the camera on without slowing down. I mount it upside down. It takes a couple of elbows to get clearance. It's a really cool angle, but the camera sees more vibration than when it's mounted to the tank.
@@Keka-vg3ut Psst, it’s plastic.. not metal.. it’s snap of if you screw it little to hard.. what you are saying it will snap your neck of if it’s mounted on the side of the helmet.. 😂
I have a pulsar 220f Doesn't have handle bars so i decided to get a fork stem mount, but I noticed that my fork has a bolt or a stud insted of a nut and cap like i saw in all videos for fork stem mounts. Are there any mounts that fit my description? Any help is appreciated.
Hi do you have any suggestions on how I can mount A go Pro hero 4 silver to a 1299S ? I have to verify that the bike is stalling out on me but I don't want to do any damage to the bike or the camera case it comes loose
Thank you for the information. I was mainly concerned about hooking one up for those close calls. And possibly insurance claims God willing I never need to make 1. But you know they always say its the motorcycles fault He was going like a 100 miles an hour. So I was thinking GoPro my and just store that thousands of hours on a cloud in case I ever need it. Or if I pull something really cool witch has happened a few times and no one believes the story. :-)
Have you looked into the 'dash cams' for motorcycles? There are a couple of versions available, most with front- and rear-facing cameras that capture video simultaneously, start when the bike starts and loops the footage so you don't have thousands of hours of unwanted/unnecessary footage. Not the same as an action camera, but might be more suited for your purpose. RSMF!
A tip from me: Please talk to the camera - don't use stupid 45 degree camera angles, looking somewhere, god knows where.. it is irritating to watch. Thumps up, you make great videos otherwise, (never seen this 45 degree bullshit in your other videos)
Your methods may work for you but there's no way I'm going to trust an action camera attached to a motorcycle with a sticky mount or, especially, a suction cup mount. In fact, I don't even trust sticky mounts on my helmet so, in addition to using the 3M sticky mount, I rivet the mount base to the helmet. I've seen too many sticky mounts fail.
Why would you assume that everyone has a piece of equipment that costs loads of money? Is gopro giving away cameras? Very bad way to start a video... You could have started with " if you are lucky to have a gopro..." I think that makes much more sense to the world we live in, you know that you are transmitting your thoughts to the entire world don't you bro? Maybe you don't...
Rlindagem You do realise these positions don't just apply to a GoPro? And considering the large majority of the community has action camera's this video is fine.
amb I realise that amb, but I know more people who would like to have a gopro that those who really have one so you see my very insignificant point about all this :) I was just trying to give some feedback to the guys that made the video... I like the new channel and just wanted to help...Thanks for the reply anyway. Ride safe mate!

@@Norway68 this is the exact reason it's illegal to attach a GoPro or similar to a motorcycle helmet in Australia.

@@Norway68 do your research, plenty of evidence of Police issuing fines for having a camera attached to a helmet.

Could you do a video on how to install streetfighter style headlights and gauges?
question. do the sticky mounts run the risk of peeling paint off the gas tank or fairings? thanks
We've never found that to be the case, and we've put GoPro mounts on a lot of bikes!
I have placed well over 12 sticky mount brackets on different bikes painted areas and when I moved them or sold them they never affected the paint.
hey i can´t get the gopro view to my phone ( like see what is going on on the telephone via gopro) i´ve gopro hero 5 black
Whats the best position for safety or accident footage, not exciting footage?
Jaws Flex Clamp is the best! mount it anyplace! never falls off. So many POV's
I happen to have videos for proof.
That was informative. Thanks!
Chest mount is a good option too, your body acts as a stabilizer and it's immersive
and will get a great shot of the gas tank.
