My understanding is that Yamaha reverse-engineered the vintage Couesnon flugelhorns - acclaimed by many to be the gold standard. Can anyone collaborate this?
My Yamaha YTR8335LA blows the Bach Stradivarius away. And it cost around $700 less. For the Money you pay for a Bach Stradivarius you could buy a Calicchio made in USA or Kanstul also made in USA. Both much better horns than Bach. My Yamaha YTR8335 LA is a great all around horn, great for jazz, classical and anything you want to play.
Not talking any crap, but Bach and Blessing make better instruments than Yamaha. Because they've been doing it for longer and they make only instruments while Yamaha makes other products that don't relate to instruments at all
James Duffy That is true, and while Xeno Trumpets are good quality instruments, Bach and Blessing make instruments of higher quality that will last many many many years as long as they are taken care of well
Wow! You should be a stand up comedian Rebel! Just because they have been doing it longer doesn't mean that they are doing it right or any better than Yamaha. Had to laugh, is it thought that Yamaha motorbike mechanics are on the assembly line when making a flugel horn?
"Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" is attributed to Charles Caleb Colton (1780-1832).
I love your Vids Tony

This will be my next horn. Great sound.
GOOD MORNING. , I WANT TO SEE YAMAHA 8310ZG FLUGELHORN ...THANK YOU
Yay something I can't possibly afford
I have YFL631. No G in the end and then No 3rd slide Trigger either. I love the horn. How to add the Trigger without paying arm and a leg?
Pull the third slide out a half inch or a bit less and leave it there. I also pull my 631's first slide out an eighth of an inch.
Flugelhorn 4ever
I MISS MY CUESNON.
Yes. Sounds more mellow than this Yamaha.

Yamaha's Xeno trumpets are very popular too.

RebelRanger01 well, I feel bach is better musically than yamaha, but yamaha is more durable than bach....
RebelRanger01 What the hell does that have to do with anything. I 'm not a big yammy fan because of the build.

Too bright
Use a deeper mouthpiece. Problem solved.
