How to Block ALL Ads on iPhone! // NextDNS + Lockdown Privacy + AdGuard Pro + AdBlock Pro!

- In this video I show you all of the apps that I use on my iPhone to block ads, trackers, and analytics from my iPhone completely. This is the easiest guide to block all annoying trackers, ads, analytics, and more. This also works on TH-cam but only if you watch TH-cam in Safari. START HERE! Follow these steps in order for best results:
1. First, go HERE and make a NextDNS account: bit.ly/NextDNS...
2. After you create your account and set up your block-lists, download the NextDNS app for iOS here: apple.co/3KEjGro
3. Read pinned comment, do NOT get Lockdown. They paywalled a BUNCH of free features as soon as I made this video. SKIP Lockdown. Just stick with NextDNS with custom filters.
That will protect your iPhone from ads in MOST apps on the iPhone. BUT to block more ads in Safari on TH-cam, get these:

Get these AdBlocking apps so you never see another iPhone ad again! These are the BEST ways to block ads on iOS and the BEST ways to block ads on iPhone, any iPhone. 3. **UPDATE** Of course as soon as I put this video out, *Lockdown* decided to go FULL GREED MODE and changed their app. DO NOT get Lockdown. SKIP IT and stick with JUST NEXTDNS. Lockdown PAYWALLED a bunch of features that used to be free when I made this video.

@@vishalmane3139 as I mention in the video all of them are useful and can be used together at least on iPhone. I’m not sure about android or Windows laptops. NextDNS is one of my favorites tho

No it doesn’t, because they are hosted on the YT servers. However, mobile games don’t host the ads on their own servers, which means that you can block those things. In order to block YT ads on mobile, you need to use a browser that has proper ad blocking features. Firefox+ublock origin should do the trick though. @@I_am_FRANCO

None of them work still have ads
Likely user error. Did it on all 14 of my iPhones and iPads. No ads on safari and most apps.

What about private relay included in iCloud+? Is it any good? And does it interfere with nextdns/adguard?
Probably overrides. It used to be slow. If you would rather a VPN you should use ProtonVPN or one of the other trusted ones. iCloud Relay is slow (or at least used to be). Note if you use a vpn it will negate NextDNS unless you use a custom configuration with a vpn like IVPN. Probably way too much work for you but there are videos from Techlore on how to set it up.
@@Slimothy i bought adguard pro, would you still recommend for me to use nextdns? On my old iphone I had lockdown + quad9 but figured AdGuard pro would be a better all in one. It uses the vpn slot though, i thought it’d use a dns profile, but it’s ok i guess. I thought icloud relay was a dns lol. I don’t really have a need for vpn, free Proton suffices for me.

You can’t use a vpn together with a dns provider the vpn is already using its own dns server which is why your nextdns might not work people.
@@KWN-YT you can if you use IVPN. But there’s no VPN shown in this video. Make sure you read the pinned comment.

Ill test it, and return and edit my comment if it works. There’s 1 game I really like but it has ads and no option to remove them.
NextDNS works for me, thats all I have to use but it’s complicated to set up. I put 3 different google ad services in the deny list and now I dont get ads, thanks.

Most likely no, but I don’t use Twitch so I’m not sure
what abt battery consumption tho ?
No effect. If anything, it improves it due to less ads being run
Which ones do you recommend using the most at the same time?
We use all of them (except lockdown, we don’t recommend that app anymore). NextDNS is probably the best of all of these. But using all of them together is the best way.

@@XDMIIIIIIIIIThe DNS filtering is done "remotely", the app doesn't actually do the filtering which of course you can customize on NextDNS's interface on the web. App has no problems. The App is the setup/portal for the DNS filtering but all the filtering is done on the NextDNS servers which means the app doesn't really need updates. But you can reach out to them if you're concerned about that for some weird reason. Works great.

Anybody recommended anything to block ads on twitch, i have ADGUARD and payed the yearly fee but ads still pop up?
I doubt it’s possible. I think twitch bakes theirs in. But I don’t use twitch so I can’t be certain.

@@anthonytravis1420 that’s exactly what I’m telling you, Anthony. I recommend using Safari with an adblocker and StopTheMadnessPro app. Can customize playback speed and quality defaults with it.

@@jakedunlap8809 awesome man enjoy it. I have been having a blast seeing all the analytics and logs from it. So many trackers I never knew about that it can block. It’s amazing I wish I knew about it sooner. I even put it on my router so my smart TVs stop sending analytics back to Samsung.

Yes
Getting my first iphone device, it was a huge bummer making me regret Android and Oneplus instantly. Apple just do collect data just like google. Thanks for sharing
Apple does not collect data like Android. Android is a huge security and privacy risk. I’d never use an Android phone. Ever. Enjoy your iPhone, Apple collects way less telemetry.
Is it normal for the lockdown app to contact domains and why is it using so much background activity?
All your traffic has to go thru lockdown so that’s why there’s background activity. Not sure what you mean about domains

NOPE! after downloading the file via QR and setting up, I turn it on in the App and do not get the option to use it even though I can see the profile in VPN management.
Don’t use Lockdown anymore. It’s garbage. The other 2 are solid. I get no ads. Perhaps check your configuration

I doubt it, but I don't use Hulu so I'm not sure. They're free so you've got nothing to lose by trying them!
Does Adguard or Next DNS block ads from Spotify?
I believe NextDNS had a blocklist that could -- not sure if it still works though.

@@user-pj8rj5if3t in NextDNS you can choose more privacy lists to use. These are the blocklists. You can add a bunch or a few. Up to you. The more you add the more sites will be blocked. Some may be false positives. And Adblock Pro and AdGuard need to be enabled in safari settings before they work.

@@geneparadiso4203 likely user error - check out a NextDNS tutorial and then install the other apps I mentioned and make sure they’re enabled in Safari and you won’t see ads. I haven’t seen an ad on my iPhone in years.

That doesn’t matter. The app doesn’t actually do much besides get your dns pointed to their servers.

@@SudhirKay Brave can block them out the box but I highly recommend safari. All iOS browsers are built on WebKit so they’re all the same under the hood. So just stick to safari and use adblockers and NextDNS
