no, not at all, this is about six hours away from there. There is not much noise pollution or night pollution. You will feel so precious, I promise. THIS is NOT Guate City, not same Departmento, not same region. Do look at a map before you visit.
so my dog and I are around Lake Atitlan now, readiing for spring to visit Semuch Champey, then Rio Dulce. Am almost done getting Donde esta Kudra- Mexico published, by May I suppose, a dual language book about geography, for kids (8-12 I would think but who knows) so, besides Lake Atitlan and SC and Rio Dulce, what else you;d suggest will be a good story for the Guate kids, also adults from any country really... Grandioso semuc Champey te sentis en el corazon de la jungla maya el sonido de la jungla than increible y si pasar la noche en uno de los hostelitos que hay por ahi tambien te sentis en la jungla /one of the greatest places in guatemala everybody is welcome to come, unfortunatly our own people doesnt know those amaizing places sometimes

There are plenty of places in the States where you sign a waiver and then climb up or down the side of a cliff with a rope. There are NOT plenty of places in the States that look like THAT, however, so it's still a trip worth taking.

If I had the economic means I wouldn't doubt a second and return at guatemala. They are such warm welcoming people and the culture is so much more beautiful then the terrible culture in America.
