    Best player on the team, a beloved teammate, young enough for the current rebuild, is still building toward his peak, and on an absurdly team-friendly contract. Yes, the Blazers have every reason to trade Avdija. /s

    Portland gave 2 first and 2 seconds and a vet for him, none of your trade proposals make sense, they are not trying to move him, he is their best player so far.

      Yeah no one really has alot to offer other than Memphis, or OKC if they wanted to make a trade for some reason. I just really want see him on a contender. And i think the Suns could get it done if they were desperate enough

    Wishful thinking at this point …Avdija is elite starter - borderline fringe all star material and any team who’d want him will need to cough out some assets for him.

    Portland succeeded with the Avdia trade and gave 2 first-round picks in return. Avdia is the best player on the team with a comfortable contract that will decrease in salary over the years. Why would they move him? They are stuck with Ayton's contract. Portland doesn't want any more high-profile players, and they will want a minimum of 2 first-round picks. It doesn't make sense for them to agree to anything less than that.

    As a Blazers fan I can tell you there is no way in hell he's getting traded. He is seen as a cornerstone in the rebuild. Shae/Clingan/Scoot/Deni/Camara....those are the guys that aren't going anywhere....everyone else is available imo.

    Why would Portland trade Deni? he has proven he is our future starting small forward, Portland needs to add not subtract.

    • @hestilllives192
      @hestilllives192 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I agree about not trading Deni, however they do need to subtract Grant/Simons/Ayton if at all possible. Those guys are harming the development of their actual young core of Scoot/Sharpe/Deni/Clingan, because they will never be more than mediocre NBA players. Whomever they draft should fit that group and be who Portland develops going forward.

    • @spafon7799
      @spafon7799 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yup, makes sense. By the time Blazers are contending for a championship, Avdia will probably be on his next contact at way higher salary, but that's just the reality of the NBA. It wouldn't be surprising to me if Avdija and Camara would up their #2 and #3 best players and #2 and #3 best paid players. The overpaid vets will be gone by then, Ayton, Grant, probably also Simons.

    As much as I want to see him on a team that is a candidate for the championship or at least ON the playoffs, there is no way that Portland trades him
    He is a player with an excellent contract relative to his utility and what he give to the team

  • @shlomtzi84
    @shlomtzi84 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +6

    Deni is an asset for every contender because he is a great defender and a solid offensive player and a force on transition.
    However there is no way it will be traded due to its age, contract, coach ability and the trade the made for him.
    . everything can happen in the NBA, but i don't see it happening

    • @spafon7799
      @spafon7799 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Avdija's low salary compared to his skills makes him a very valuable asset. The kind of team that could get the most benefit out of Avdija is a contender that needs to add a good player but has a big payroll up in apron territory, which is where contending teams are liable to be. Avdija would actually be a more valuable asset to such a team than Portland, because they're not in the luxury tax and aren't a contender so they aren't able to reap the full value of Avdija. But the price would be high. I would say the starting point for conversation would be three decent to good first round picks along with some junk players on expiring contracts to match salary.

  • @israteeg752
    @israteeg752 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

    Portland traded 2 future 1sts and 2nds to get Deni Avdija. Deni is playing well, so why should Portland take back in return other teams "garbage" and settle for anything less , and most likely more?
    So as much as I like the Nuggets, they do not have enough assets for a trade. Phoenix will have to give all 3 picks and more, and the same goes for the rest of the teams mentioned.

      @quintupleovertime yet will still be holding on to his lump sum contract that we can't get rid of just like Ayton contract. You're pigeon holding the Blazers with this absolutely ridiculous suggestion. Yes granted it's the only move Phoenix has but it's stupid and it makes no sense. You're welcome to your freedom of speech and say whatever you like but put some more thought into what the Blazers actually needs instead of just throwing pieces in there that fits

      If they want to get rid of Nurkic Blazers should say fine, we'll trade Ayton for Nurkic. Neither is a player asset, but the Blazers unwittingly made out like bandits because they wound up with the real player asset in the deal with Phoenix, Toumani Camara.

      I wouldn't be dead set against it but he's only worth trading for the kind of assets you get trading an all star. Between being a good young player and his bargain contract, I believe his asset value is in the same range as an all star.

    I see analysis all the time about "hey, how can we do a trade where a championship contender hands off some junk to get a good player from the Blazers". You can only do realistic mock trades if your objective is to give equal benefit to each team. (possible exception if a team's management has a reputation of doing rotten deals)

    Really good trade for the Suns? No shit, you are not a rocket scientist are you? Why don't the Suns just trade one of those first rounders to the team that gets the #1 draft pick in 2025, that would be a good deal for the Suns too. Do you get my point?. Deni is one of the best players in the league that makes under 16 million, the Blazers are not doing that. Maybe commenting on pickleball might be a better match for you.

  • @astrynaxunruh8009

    Ya Phoenix has nothing close to what the Blazers would take. The Blazers are probably hanging up the phone on all Deni offers. Certainly Memphis, Cleveland, and OKC have the assets to interest Portland but likely wouldn't part with them. Think Edey and draft capitol or Chet. Mobley. Which they aren't going to offer. We wanted 2 FRP's for Jerami Grant in the summer. Jerami Grant, Anfernee Simons, Deandra Ayton, Rob Williams, and Matisse Thybulle are all on the trade block for the Blazers. That's pretty much it unless they get blown away by something.

    • @spafon7799
      @spafon7799 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Right. You don't trade a player who can be a big part of your future unless someone makes an offer you can't refuse. You trade (if you can) the players who are not part of the team's long term future.
