The 'Y' chromosome makes the baby a boy. Every person has 2 sets of chromosomes. Women carry the 'XX' chromosomes. Men carry 'XY' chromosomes. Every baby gets ONE chromosome contribution from each parent. X = girl. Y = boy. It's a 1 in 4 chromosome chance to be a boy. And it's ONLY the male contribution of 'Y' that makes a boy. Men can also deliver the X one, making a girl along with the Mom's X one.
Actually OP’s ex hubby is to blame because anyone who reads a little medical science will tell you that men determine the gender during procreation, not the woman. Per timestamp 18:07 - 18:12

@hilidaarnold3221 here in the southern part of the states, it usually only has to be in the mid 50's (Celsius) for most of us to start tapping and looking for the jackets. 😔

Babies haven't toughened up to tolerate 30 mins in that cold yet. They also didn't bring up *wind chill*.
