Freewing F 16 VS E flite F 16

A short comparizing video to show how both models flies and their great appearance in the sky. The E-flite wins for it's power system, it definately has more power in the air and to get off the ground.
Both models are really nice in the air, but grass-ops are a pain in the ass with both of these models due to the resistance of the grass making it hard to get them off the ground unless you have a perfect golf-trimmed lawn to take off from as in this case. A bit unfortunate with the landing of the Freewing due to heavy wind and windshear but it looked much worse than it actually was. Easy fixable and model is ready to fly again after some glueing.
But the E-flite wins the duel abaout having enough power, and also a few seconds better flight time.
Around 2,5 minutes flight with the Freewing, and 3 minutes with the E-flite before setting up for landing. Flown with the with one Admiral 5000mAh 50C pack on each flight. Wheight of battery approx 720 grams.

I have the 70mm and the 80mm eflite f16 and they both are excellent fliers.

Im new to flying rc aircraft, just received my second plane which is a fllightline p-38, first one is a eflite p-51 and i want the f-16 for my third plane, cant wait, beautiful aircraft.

Welcome to the hobby! I do not know your current skill level, but as a friendly advice, I think I'd recommend starting with a different EDF as your first jet, like for instance the Viper 90mm or a Freewing T-33 or L-39 80mm as these airframes is known to be a bit more easy to fly than the F-16. But with that said, I do not know your skill level, so I think one can be skilled enough to fly the F-16 after flying a warbird like the P-51 but still. I think it would be wise to start off with a plane that is a little easier to fly and maybe keep the F-16 as the plan for your 2.nd or 3rd EDF.
Anyway what you decide for yourself, yea the E-Flite F-16 is a plane I would really recommend if you already know how to fly an EDF jet, just remember to always keep a good eye to the throttle. Too little and she'll fall out of the sky like a brick if you forget to keep the energy throughout the turns. And all the EDF's eats batteries FAST! So I would not start on the F-16 but thats my two cents and not meant as other than a friendly advice. Keep up the great progress and congratulations with entering the finest hobby in the world. :-)

Hi! No, this one was before the new upgraded ones. Bought mine a few years back, so this one does not have the new 3672-1900lv inrunner.

I have the Eflite f16 80mm and all honesty I’m very disappointed in the quality of the nose gear and I’m going to have to sell it at a 50% loss
