There’s a podcast I listen to called, “This Podcast will Kill you.” Each episode is about the history of different diseases and illnesses. And they did one about herpes and it was super interesting because they explain how it’s been around since the beginning of time. And how it was only in recent decades that it became highly stigmatized again. And a lot of the reason for that was for political reasons and religious control reasons throughout history. And also through propaganda put out by big pharma who created a cream for it that they couldn’t sell. It’s worth a listen.
Herpes isnt as devastating as people think. I dated a girl with it. You just have to be careful between outbreaks. Like you're not invalidated as a worthwhile human because of it. I've gotten tested multiple times since that relationship and I never caught it. And we didn't use protection many times. People don't need to get so doom and gloom about it. Anybody who would outright dismiss you because of it is probably someone You're better off not being involved with they're obviously dumb and shallow. That girl from her zoom group who said that all the dudes she told bailed on her, that girl dodged some bullets. Those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind. you're weeding out people who don't like you for you, and we all would like to get laid but I think the trade-off for quality relationships is fine.

You can get it from non sexulal on the face. I got from a family member who had it from those old school face the face kisses. like both side of the face.
That's actually how the bulk of people get herpes simplex 1, as a child from a parent or a family member. That's why there's been this huge push in the last few years of people not wanting friends and family members kissing there children on the face. The outbreaks on children can be pretty horrendous and painful.

I think that when your immune system is down thats when the virus can cause an outbreak. So keep your immune system good and you should be ok after you have had the virus for awhile and built up some antibodies

I can only imagine Ryan felt like he’d acquired enough of his own support and following through the channel that he could go his own way. Also it had been about a year so legally if there was any kind of contract between them maybe it had run out since at this point YMH is a mini network. This is just my perspective but the vibe of Honeydew podcast is different from the rest of YMH but has proved strong enough to stand alone so I feel Ryan made the right decision for his creation. I hope this helps, we’ll never know what happens behind closed doors truly but this is the impression I got.
