  • In a recent interview, members of the Osheku Wem family in Lower Prampram voiced their concerns regarding a misunderstanding that occurred during the last Lalue Kpledomi Festival. They alleged that they have been deliberately prevented from performing their customary rites at the beach, citing themselves as the "overlords of the sea."
The Lalue Kpledomi Festival, renowned for its celebration of culture and heritage, took an unexpected turn when tensions arose over the customary rituals at the beach. The Osheku Wem people, who claimed have a longstanding tradition of performing rites by the sea, found themselves at odds with other leaders of the town.
Speaking to Pramciti TV, representatives from the Osheku Wem family expressed their disappointment at being obstructed from carrying out their rituals, which they view as integral to their cultural identity. They highlighted the importance of preserving these traditions and called for mutual respect and understanding among all parties involved.
The incident, described as a "little misunderstanding" by those interviewed, sheds light on broader issues of power dynamics and cultural heritage within the community. While the Lalue Kpledomi Festival aims to foster unity and celebration, it also brings to the forefront underlying tensions and conflicts that require careful consideration and dialogue to resolve.

Let's put things in order, Prampram is not for one family house.
Let's Unit as one people for Prampram to move forward.
Our tradition doesn't allow Police to be around before things will be done but because of selfishness.
Leave what is not yours for the owner.
Long Live NENE TETTEH WAKAH III
