I’ve been looking for an FJ for a few years now. I’m very excited to finally have one. Thanks for checking out this video. This is going to be a major project. I’m excited that this will be my first fully documented build. Hope you join me on the journey.
Came from the DT250 reassembly... 72 that's awesome, I was born in a 68, dad used to race them in the 60s/70s SoCal/AZ/Baja. I have 6 FJs at the moment. 69, 70², 73² and a 14.
Just found your videos and I'm loving them especially the FJ40 but I am planning on checking out the rest of your other builds as well. Great work keep it up.
Do you have a part in your videos where you clean and reinstall the FD actuator, FD Knob, and cable on your FJ40 build? I have a 71 FJ40 and am researching before rebuilding. Thanks!
hi John. I have always dreamed of restoring fj40. But because i live in poor country, I could not. I really enjoyed watching your videos and learned a lot. I also have a question. Why dont use a small impact wrench to loosen the bolts? It seems to be really faster and easier way. thank you so much

No sorry
On a positive note, at least the key wasn't lost.
Where do you purchase your replacement parts? Looks like you are able to find near stock items for the FJ40.
Spector off road and cool cruisers of Texas👍
