Good job on the overview of the GTR. It'd be nice briefly to peek under the vehicle, too. A worm's eye view, as it were, of the undercarriage, suspension, etc. Keep up the good work!
Very nicely done, Mike! The reason the dealer suggested that the potential owner leave the vehicle running for two minutes before shutting the engine off is for cooling purposes. Many people install aftermarket turbo timers which regulate this for them. Factory cars don't have these delayed shut off features thus the need to physically wait the two minutes before shutting off the engine.

It's been told that all the seems, lines and ducts are all designed to lead air flow to the rear spoiler. It's all aerodynamically design for that purpose.
Great car! very happy with mine but the wheels on my(2014 model) look way better than this new ones. I hope they gave him better front discs. cause i had to change mine at 20.000km.(big crackes in them and i wasnt on track with it) otherweis great car also my wife and daughter love it. Cheers

Can someone please explain to me how the GTR is able to perform so well on a v6 engine? In many cases well beyond that of many v8 cars in the same price category. I should preface by saying I have very limited knowledge on automotive stuff. I would also like to know why nissan went with a v6 rather than a v8.

wow the lack of info and knowledge in the comments. every part of that car has a purpose, from the NACA ducts on the hood, the door stiffing pins, the rear lower defuser, the side extraction vents to even the door handle design, the shape of the car should not work, very boxy, but it does in spades. even the last gtr, R34, was the same.
I'm not sure why you go into detail about the key fob and garage door opener. I'm pretty sure that they look the same for every car. The timer and other things that we don't have on most cars is worth looking at.

Joe Simo you have no idea about anything. First of all you aren´t talking about the nissan gt-r, you are talking about extremely tuned gt-rs with over 1000 hp. Nobody who thinks of buying a bugatti would think of a gtr. why? The bugatti has an extremely much better built quality. all materials are high end, it´s luxorious, and it has 1200 hp stock with a big engine that is reliable. A gt-r is made of cheap ass plastic mostly. Look at the interieur it looks like a dacia or something. The whole cars quality isnt even near the cheapest porsche you can get. All what this gtr is good for are drag races, but this gtr is most of the time not even in your garage because always something breaks down, you get your 1500hp gtr repaired every fucking week because something is wrong with it. And this my friend is why a bugatti is 100 times better car and so much more expensive than a gtr. And never is a gtr better than every porsche. The gtr nismo is in speed at the same level as the 991 turbo s, but again the luxury and quality is completely different, the porsche has such a much higher quality same for the feeling when you sit in one. a gtr feels just cheap from the inside, a porsche definitely doesn´t and oh there is also this porsche called 918, a gtr doesn´t even get close to it haha....

Love to buy a GTR now that I can afford one, what I'm worried about is where I live in Edmonton/Alberta. We get some pretty bad winters here, lots of dirt put down on the roads. Would suck having to bench this baby 5 months out of the year.
+dowddash I don't think you have much to worry about as long as if you have good insurance for if someone else hits you. I live in Alberta too btw. This car has VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control) so you can easily control it in snowy, muddy, dirt conditions etc. This car handles very good in snow for a sports car. It also has AWD and FWD and RWD, which ever you want to use in different situations. If you get the GT-R you should take a cruise down here to Lethbridge, I'd love to take a ride in it! It's my dream car.

I gotta admit I've never driven one but I have been driven as a passenger in one and also sat started and checked one out in detail ... with all due respect to what this car is capable of I think it would quickly become tiring and exhausting to be in on a daily basis . the mechanics of the diff/trans/motor is unbearably loud for a car this expensive its just nowhere near as defined as any other 6 figure car personally I could not live with a car like this on a daily basis ...certainly not for this much $ but none the less more respect to the ones that can afford it and do enjoy it every day for what it offers since they truly appreciate it for its potential and not so much for its refinement .
Its not a daily car. Its a car you could drive on a free Sunday around town and have some fun with it. Can you imagine it as a daily car doing groceries taking kids to school I dont think so.

We had statements to show finances. I'm not buying a car without driving it. He tried telling me it compares to a Ferrari F12 like I'm an idiot and he said they don't test drive cars either. My gf doesn't like it anyways but it's cheaper than a 911 turbo which I want.

If you would watched the older reviews of the r35, you would know how those 3 switches work, and what they individualy do, but i think you`re newbie in car tv show review stuff.

its is not hand made. the engine is hand assembled. the rest of the car comes off the same line as the as all the other cars from Kaminokawa plant. they build one every 28 minutes. that faux carbon fiber piece is part of the rear diffuser. the "large pipes" are only 3''. if your tyring to sell this car please don't call it "Godzilla" most buyers know this car, will walk away.

So my 04 grand prix has a 3.8 v6 so it would be a pretty close race. and I painted my rims black which adds horsepower.

kdsdr The suspension went softer every year after 2012 as well. The car has been watered down. Sorry to break the news to you. It's a well known thing amungst the GTR community.

its is not hand made. the engine is hand assembled. the rest of the car comes off the same line as the as all the other cars from Kaminokawa plant. they build one every 28 minutes. that faux carbon fiber piece is part of the rear diffuser. the "large pipes" are only 3''. if your tyring to sell this car please don't call it "Godzilla" most buyers know this car, will walk away.
