i finally sewed the $375 ballerina wrap skirt of my dreams // Orseund Iris inspired

Yes i know I'm like 2 years late to this trend...
sooo I've been thirstin after this skirt for awhile now but I dont have the $375 to buy one myself, so I thought today i would make one from scratch. with no pattern. for $10.
This was such a challenge and I questioned my sanity at lease 4 times, but it ended up being quite easy once I got my head around the pattern and I'm obsessed with how it turned out.
So why not make one yourself so we can be matchy matchy? Remember, if my dumb brain can figure it out, you can too!

If you have sewn the waistband together how do you sew the skirt inside the waistband

You measure the top of the skirt. Then leave a section of the wasistband tie unsewn that's the same as length as the top of the skirt.
So, for example, the top of my skirt was 60 inches, so I left 60 inches of the waistband open/ unsewn, making sure to center the unsewn bit at the middle of the waistband tie.
So you would sew from one end of the tie until you get to the part you need to leave open, back tac and sew again from the other end until the bit you want to leave open.
