I've tried the firebird out, it's really neat. S3 missiles can be really good against enemy ship powerplants, I'd love to get more rounds testing it on larger ships, trying to knock out their power. The reclaimer's plant is fairly deep inside it, wonder if i could knock it out after a scan with some subtargeting.
I want to test the Firebird missile barrage against an Aegis Hammerhead to evaluate its effectiveness and impact in both offensive and defensive scenarios.
I would try it out with some missile barrages on bunker missions ... I just love to see a bunch of explosions XD
The camera shot of the missile rack firing is wonderful. Would like to see how well the missiles work against a reclaimer.

The sabre variants have always been my fav ships no matter what people say about them being bad. I was really sad when I was unable to grab the firebird and test it or own one but maybe sometime I can get that chance. I want to see a fleet of these flowing out of an idris or larget ship to swarm other capital ships and see what they can do. love its design. GL to everyone!

I'm in love with all the sabre variants but the the firebird night be my favorite. i would like to see the firebird go up against a connie
I think missiles need a balance to HIT more, cripple ships more easily but dont destroy the ships.
Like target engines, cripple the ship so its forced to land or get out of a combat situation but not outright destroy the target.
My guess it is headed that way, but only when maelstrom dmg model is implemented, when we have server meshing V 3.8

I would like to try firing off 6 missiles at a time but not sure what I would take on maybe try a corsair? They light up long range and you have stealth.

I would love to test this ship against a F8C lightning....
It would come down to how many of the missiles get through the flares and chaff.
The firebird, with its interceptor tuning, dictates the engagement, and its primary weapon is a long-range weapon. There is no reason it would ever merge with the f8. Once the missiles are exhausted, it's a mosquito to the f8 and should bug out.
If the pilot merges, my money is on the f8. The f8 melts anything in its cone of fire.
aye, if it merges for combat it is dead, time to kill on its Cqb weapons is abysmal.
I tested it prior to its buff on the missiles and sold it as soon as I was allowed lol.
It’s good for blapping around in low end missions but that’s the only time it bullies/shines :)
@@DaveFrags I'm sitting on one currently because I'm intending to use it in a warbond CCU chain. It's a fun little ship if you're into missile gameplay.
I wish it had swappable racks. I would take 48 S2 missiles or 96 s1 anytime over the 24 s3 because it would be useful to overwhelm point defense systems on capital ships while your buddy flying an eclipse slips in a volley of S9 Torpedos. I might actually keep it if that were an option.

You should make the suggestion for changeable racks.
Let them worry about balancing, the more modifications we can do to ships in game is always a win !
I wonder how effective a Firebird barrage would be against a Vanguard.
It flies awesome (currently). It's stealthy. With the right paint, it looks amazing. But no, it's not worth $185 dollars. It's a light fighter with no ability to dumb-fire the missiles (unless you're aiming for the dirt).
I`d like to watch a fight with the Firebird against the F7A Hornet MK II, please.
I bet the sheer amount of missiles could down even a retaliator with no problem
