The first train you saw headed from Eerste river to Bellville single line working. The second train headed from Bellville to Langa. Since the signals and crossings out of order, the trains only operate on single lines.
Nice one. The crossing at 0:50 was perfect timing. I notice some of the balast stones are missing in a section of the track closest to you. Might compromise the stability of the track
Thank man. Yes lucky catch ne....Okay. So Allen Taylor explains it well and also the overhead wires at the track that leads towards Bellville are damaged just after Blackheath if I am not mistaken. Hence them using the single track as he explains. Similar story for the train closest to me headed to Langa via Sarepta.

Where it took me 160mins to travel 13km by car, the train would do it in a mere 18-22 mins; and I needn't fear accidents and speed fines.
