The new menu is kinda hard to get used to when you’ve been building for a while
definitely agree, i mainly just dealt with circuits but still its a huge adjustment

I have a tutorial suggest: it's a trigger handle that can summon things on the ground or comes from the ground where the player wants it to for example a spike that comes out of the ground

I have a tutorial suggestion as well, jump scare, I can't find any good tutorials on them, they all have the animation gizmo just telport a monster up in a set place, I want a monster/ai that follows you and when it gets you it plays a jump scare in front of your screen even if you move away or try to look away, I have no clue where to even start to try make it.
sounds like you might need the camera position vector chip thing, never used it but ill at least look no guarantees

Only is a opinion with maker pin well is the bred new one they update access allow theam old ones allready took it out bit now i get it doing at menu thing

remember how you could make shapes have different amounts of sides with the old makerpen? is there a way to do that with the new one? im trying to make a shop for a clothing brand i want to launch in rec room once they make custom shirts sellable but this is holding me back from making key parts of the shop
Maybe in general setting on the right side of the tool page, or maybe one of the other drop downs on that right side, might have to switch snapping on the top? Maybe try manipulate also
I hate the update but this tutorial made it a bit more bearable thank you very much

For some reason the shapes do not come out the the end on the maker pen but on the surface that I point it on how do I change that?
Got to tools page, on top you see a slider for snapping, slide to laft for none, rught for grid, and center for surface

How do you stick stuff on the wall like how you see the weapons in some quest games?
hmmm i'm not sure maybe they have something they are hanging on or maybe they are set to sticky but i dont think we can make weapons sticky

How do you access the tube settings menu? I’ve been trying to activate the fixed tube width setting
Go into shapes and select tubes, then go to tools and there should be a tube setting menu on the right side

to open maker pen just point the top part of it at your face and it should open
How would I configure the gadget cause now I don’t know how to make animation or anything like that I do the same step but now I don’t know how to get to the animation page it happen on the other gadgets too like the piston is there a page for it or a thing I’m missing?
to configure you now go to the tools page and hit configure on the top right of the left side then click on the thing you want to configure, if nothing pops up you may have to go to the configure page on the bottom of the maker pen. as for the animation gizmo, go to tools and hit edit on the top right then click on the gizmo and next time you look at the tool menu you should see the animation stuff, all animations buttons are the same as they used to be

@@theRCLman of course I’ve discovered it’s not an easy feet of just clamps animations and trigger volumes that stick you to the chair for some reason they don’t work when clamped
How do you make a wall/object have no collision "like for a secret room or something"
Configure the object and make it decoration i think. Either decoration or environment one of those 2 i can't remember which is right
How do you make it so that make your pen object spawnon the tip of your pen
On the top of the tool menu adjust the snapping slide all the way to the left
may you please do a tutorial on how to save progress? i am making a rpg with a group of friends and my current idea is to use keys or consumables, but i have no idea how to do that.. thanks!! (save progress as in when you beat a level, it saves your progress and unlocks the next for eternity)
Ok so this is cloud variables, ill have to make a vid, but if you configure a variable like an int variable and make it cloud, it is saved when you leave the room and ia the same when you come back, this is saved for every individual person

hey i have been have problems when i try to move anything it rotates it.
Make sure when you move it that you are only moving it buy the green red and blue lines, there may also be a general setting on the right side of tools but im not sure
Hi I have a question, if you know the game cooking madness, I want to make something similar called “Cafe Rush” where basically customers come up to you and ask for an order so the players can serve them. How do I do that?
i want to help but idk how to begin explaining it lol, i think those games are mostly trigger volumes checking if an item is in them with a certain tag

How do you change the time of day with the new update
Last i checked, open watch go to this room,go to settings, go to subrooms, click current subroom settings icon, scroll down till you see premade times of day. You can also use skydome chips as well
Question, how do make an object have more than 1 animation, for example, your making an enemy and you want a walking animation, and an attack animation, how would you do that
hmmmm i have never tried to hook an object to mulktiple animates i don't think it will work but i will try it
@@theRCLmanI figured it out after I commented this, you must make it so when you wanna make it stop, the player goes into a trigger volume which stop animation 1 and starts animation 2, when you want animation 1 to start again, make it to where the animation starts when another trigger volume touches the player, and stops animation 2. It's very simple apparently

So when I select items in rec room the green box moves instead of being straight it would be angled how do I fix this?
Hmmm that actually sound like a bug im not sure you might have to wait on an update or send in a support ticket on their website
@@theRCLman it's when I select also when I rotate something the hallow box doesn't move it stays ether straight or angled

top left should have an edit button, click on it then click on object with maker epn
Is there a way to de-select stuff? Cos for some damn reason, when I was making a funko pop, the ribbons I was screwing around with in the background to test things out before I actually slap it onto the thing got clipped onto the funko pop, so now whenever I try to delete the test ribbons, the funko itself also gets deleted.
So i f you hit wdit on the funko the while in edit mode select the stuff you dont want, then a little menu should pop up that says options click that then click split shapes, they should no longer be a part of the funko

Yes, its not the best but if its what you got its good enough, i played it for anout 1.5 yrs before i got a quest

@@FroztPlayz the quality is very bad, although i have never seen what the quality is on any other vr but psvr, everything looks very fuzzy and i imagine its way better on quest, also the psvr motion controllers make you less emerssed in the game as it feels like youre holding sticks in your hands rather than with quest how they have controllers that fit onto your hand and make you feel more in touch with the game

If I wanted to make a game like find the markers from Roblox, is there a way I can make a collection system showing which markers you have and don’t have, and if so is there a way I could put a GUI in the game, like with a costume or something with a clickable button to show which markers you do and don’t have? I’m recreating find the markers btw lol. Also, if you could at some point, I don’t have a pc to add music to the game, but I need the find the markers soundtrack, so if you could, could you maybe help me out if you have a pc 😀
i am fairly certain you are trying to use the ui chips to display that or subtitle chips but i've only use those once (that might make a good vid actually just the ui chips)

How do you change the physics mode of the objects? To make it decoration and save space.
Hit configure, then click on the maker pen ou bjext thwn go to thw configure tab( should be automatic on your maker pen) then it ahouls bw the first option

Open maker pen. Hit tools on the bottom then hit the configure button up above ( i think its under the redo button) Click on the object you want to change by pointing the maker pen at it and pulling the trigger. Then open maker pen again and click the configure on the bottom then you should see the option.
How to I get the tools menu mine doesn’t do it I press my pen pick it up and I just get a big orange block

I’ve almost mastered maker pen. I just went here because I wanted to know what worldspace was
It changes how you move things like moving thinga in world space will move stuff on the zyand z axis of the room, where as if its off you move on the x y and z axis if the actual object itself

This new menu is so aggravating I'm trying to spice up my room with an invention but the buttons that they had like two months ago was nice but now maybe watching this video I can understand on how to find what I'm looking for again

like a few months ago I could search random inventions before the entire menu change it was so easy all you had to do was click that button that says "get more inventions" search what you're after with your maker pen and a good portion of the time you can find something relatable to what you're looking for. So how would you go about getting back to that point and searching people's inventions
@@joewight4 honestly best way is to open watch and go to store the inventions on the top

How do I turn on snap turning on new maker pen update
In the tools menu on the right side one of thw drop down menus has like a grid picture. Open that one and it should have snapping and rotate snap settings, also make sure the slider at the top is on grid

seems strange, when you manipulate that it would move the whole thing, hmmmm
on the tools page on the right side there may be a setting in one of the drop down menus.

How do you make your tube small
Not super good with tubes, pretty sure when you select tube. Hit tools then on the right side i think there are tube settings

Is the recroom maker pen menu only for PC and VR? Because I play on PS4 and I've been trying to learn how to use the menu but there's been 0 videos on how to use the makerpen menu for PS4.

How do you make a fully CUBE cube? All i have is smooth edges, and it infuriates me.
I think the pointy cube is still i beta, try enable beta content in your roo.

My Maker Pen just won’t work sometimes, it refuses to spawn anything even though I have enough ink and everything else I need to spawn things.

Hey so my make invention button won't turn on so I'm not in edit mode and I've refreshed my room I've refreshed the pen and for some reason it won't let me make an invention and I just did a big project with all original stuff that I have made I've also tried to do other objects but that didn't work
Oh and it only doesn't work in that room
does the room have beta enabled, beta content can't be saved as inventions

How do you get more ink without deleting items?
best advice is to merge items and make them decoration
I'm trying to put in ping pong table but when I click on the table nothing on my maker pen shows up so I can't spawn it help

Guys I’m having a problem where it’s a white line coming out of the maker pen and when I spawn inventions they spawn far away or like on a object and not at the tip of the maker pen?
At the top of the tools page slide the slider to off or to grid, its on surface right now so it will spawn at the surface the beam touches

Just go to shapes then cube then fire the maker pen, if you want brick hit recolor and choose the color and brick material

As a pc player, I really like the functionality of the new maker pen. I’ve gotten more used to it. The only thing that bothers me a little bit is the design. Overall, they did a pretty good job of fitting in the new features.
i think it ok still new but we'll get used to it and they will probably change some things around
