I’m not complaining tho. Would look nice side by side with a taller, bulkier anthropomorphic beetle. There’s images circulating somewhere of such a figure by another toy company 😅 Might skip UNKVAL as well bc it reminds me of my uncle Val 😭🥲

She’s really cool looking. I’d say she has an “elegantly foreboding” look to her. Definitely calling to a horror aesthetic. Now that I think of it, she reminds me of the Zebesian Space Pirates from Metroid.
I like that phrase, elegantly foreboding. Is it okay if I use it on a figure with sinilar vibes if I found one? Now that you mentioned it, she also reminds me of the Mr. Mantis Shrimp from Dandadan which I think was inspired by Alien Baltan from Ultraman. Maybe this subconscious familiarity added to her appeal

Heyyy! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I totally agree with you. If they make an accessory pack for some wings, I’ll get it. But this is also a good idea for a custom. There are a few Mystic Legion figures with wings, figma Pixie’s wings could also work!

Hey man! That's cool, I'm sure that figure won't disappoint if the quality remains the same as Mantis. That figure is The Ghost of Kurosawa by Devil Toys and artist Quiccs. But the soft goods and samurai armor I took from Yep Studio's Date Masamune to make a custom look. I made a review of both figures in this channel if you want to check them out 😊
Haha I have to agree, the arms look like crab legs and the thighs look like part of the claws. It would be interesting to see someone do an orange custom!
I'm not really feeling the colour scheme. The mostly colourless body makes it seems incomplete. I would have preferred a more vibrant colour like green, or even just a shade of brown..
It might not be visible on camera but the white paint has a somewhat glossy texture with pink gradient and dark shading so it looks finished to me. I agree a green variant or even a brown one would be interesting to see though. On hindsight, thinking about Kamen Rider being black, the color is likely a conscious decision from the creators

Someone repainted it green like real mantis color schemes and the result nothing sort but amazing
