I feel like winter break violet probably sold well because people are buying Christmas gifts for their kids and the doll is winter themed. It would be interesting to see the relationship between winter theme dolls and Christmas buying habits.

I’m no where near the areas where Brook finds these good deals either now or before she moved, but I’ve learned so much about how to approach searching and finding doll deals from her content. I have so many dolls at good prices thanks to this. ❤

Me too! Seeing those Rockstar dolls made me especially envious because they were only at Toys R Us here for around $70 CAD. I was waiting for Vanessa to go on sale, but she sold out. I do find the occasional markdown at Walmart, especially after Christmas, but it’s nothing like in the video. Cave Club and Mermaid High were exceptions. I got a bunch of those for under $10-$15 CAD at Marshall’s/Winner’s and Walmart.

On December 17 I found Shadow high series 2 Reina and Monique for 8$ at a discount store!!!!! And they were my two favorites from series 2

All of our Tuesday Morning stores closed here a while ago. I think there's some in Western NY but I'm not driving across the state for Tuesday Morning. 😆 We just got a new Ollie's back in October and there was a store called Hi-5 but I think the pandemic might have shut them down. Actually I think it was replaced with Dirt Cheap. I was only in the store once pre-pandemic and they didn't have toys at the time and place looked kind of trashed.

I wish that my state had this store. We have a knockoff version called "That's Cheap". Where they jack up the prices, and then take 10 to 20 percent off to make them the same price that they would be at retail.

So lucky there's two dirt cheap stores where I live and the toy sections suck so much and if there's something good usually it ends up getting stolen and you only find the packaging

I work at Marshall’s and honestly we get good prices on dolls. Since I love dolls so much, I’m always in the toy section for my job. Omgs are typically $14.99 and rainbow high and things like that about $12 but it’s hot or miss for the pricing on certain lines because they price knockoffs as if they’re deluxe dolls, annoyingly

The closest we have to a discount store that's not Ross locally to me in Iowa is Bower's there sound a lot like your dirt cheap store but a lot smaller of a store.
my dirt cheap here in texas never has dolls like yours does, and the mess in there gives me a headache, i like ollies, another store like dirt cheap

I don’t know much about lalaloopsy, but I googled it and apparently my assigned lalaloopsy is tangerine citrus zest (6/27). She’s cute I guess. Frankie from monster high’s birthday is the day before mine (6/26) and I hope it is the same for the reboot because they’re my favorite character and I love being birthday neighbors with them. Could’ve been better if they were born or created a day later tho lol.

It’s weird because the ones in the larger cities that I’ve been to (Montgomery and Birmingham) just have smaller, crappier toy sections and the sales are never as steep but mine is always glorious
@@xCanadensis in the one near by it’s in the dfw area it used to have a lot of stuff pre COVID and before I became a doll collector but since then it’s hard to even find anything at a thrift stores here ;-;

I’m not here to gatekeep. If everyone knows about it then it’s not only price gougers that know like usual. They put stuff on Facebook marketplace here that is very clearly from this store but it rots there because everyone knows to just go to Dirt Cheap. Price gougers exists anyways and the number one way to combat them is to educate people on how to find deals themselves 🤷♀️

I live south of Tuscaloosa so the closest to me is the Tuscaloosa one! Tuscaloosa unfortunately doesn’t have a lot of good stuff for you but this store may be worth a two hour drive if you saw something you’re interested in!

ugh seein all the rh for cheap i wishhh we got that here too in canada. shadow high are 24.07cad at walmart and i got 4 of em each for 22cad bc ive emplyee discount 20% off. but now other than 3 boys rh and 2 junior high jade in my store theres nothin else of rh. i hope they restock but even if they do it will be retail full price which its way too much for me i wanna wait when they on sale at walmart(if they stock more rh) or amazon ca.
You might want to check Indigo online or locally. They had some good sales in the past few weeks and maybe will again after Christmas. Walmart is pretty sold out, especially online. The Shadow High dolls are a great deal, though. I wasn’t going to buy any, but I got Shanelle and Nicole, and they look great in person.
If anyone knows any good discount stores in Washington state (especially spokane county or clallam county, but seattle and kitsap would work to go once in a while) please tag me! All the ones I found so far only have pacifiers and 500 dollar rc cars in the the toy section if they even have one to begin with! One of the newer return stores thats opened had half the building full of suitcases that were only a couple dollars off. The northwest discount market sucks hard.
