OH MY GOD!!!! WOW!!! Amazing!!!! I used to play the Alto Sax in the elementary school band when I was a kid! I kind of regret not sticking with it. I have a Squire Stratocaster and I’ve not played in a while and want to get back into picking it up but I need to build a foundation again first.
Thanks man! Don't worry about building a foundation - all you need is to dedicate the time. I'm not a great guitarist by any stretch but the more time I spend on it the better I get, and the better I get the more I enjoy it. Go give that Squier a hiding.

Wow, thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it, I was pretty happy with this one. As far as the effects go, it was just a really simple guitar amp plugin (the free one that came with Cubase) and the wah effect I added afterwards using my mouse...!

Ha yeah, it all made a lot more sense once I added the distortion & wah! Didn't take too long to chuck this one together to be honest - nothing tricky about the arrangement, just following the original. My recent cover of EASY was the one that took the most time...

Making a guitar solo work on a sax. Ok, the sound effects made it almost sound like a guitar but anyway, that was a really great cover and some really fast fingers :-)
Hahahaha nah I don't have the patience to sit there writing this stuff out. I just learnt it all by ear, I've been listening to that solo since I was 13 so it didn't actually take long to learn it - just that harmonic minor run-up halfway through the solo was the only tricky bit. The rest actually falls under the fingers pretty quick.
awesome man. so good i have no choice but to convert the solo to tenor because i don't have an Alto won't sound as good but oh well.. but wow man that was sooo good.. even down to the chuckka chuckka sound with the keys in the break.. my wife is going to be hell sick of this song by the time i'm finished.
You can do it!! That opening solo line will actually be easier on tenor I think, E is a much easier to reach key than B on alto. The solo, though... that'll be a major challenge...!

That lead lick on saxophone isn't easy. Guitar players notes don't stop when they need to take a breath. Kudos
