You were one of the first influencers to impact me. My body has adapted and done more than I could imagine just last year. I just ran a half marathon PB nearly 40 minutes less than my prior year PB. I always labeled myself as not athletic and not into fitness, but now I’m a happier more balanced and fit person and inspiring others. Keep doing what you do.
Your lovely little face was just what I needed to see pop up whilst I was struggling during a 10k today, you underestimate how many people’s lives you help just by being you and sharing your ups and downs 😘 I’m sorry you’re struggling at the moment, things will get better, in the meantime just know that you’re a fabulous human being. Running makes me feel better than any other exercise I've ever tried. I have mental health issues and having that top of the world feeling is insanely amazing. I've been off running since February when I got injured. You've inspired me to get back on the horse!!

It is hard to balance all our responsibilities and completely relate to how exercise and having that ‘me’ time is so beneficial to then being your best self for all them responsibilities. Totally understand what you are saying. I have found running is the best for mental health. I tried walking because I was overweight and very unfit, but would regularly cry the whole time because there was too much time to think. But when running I am simply trying to keep running. Quite often find myself singing to my music on my cool down. Good luck with your recovery, and remember you have created a world wide community. We are here for you. If you need to rant we will listen.

You will get back out there, you will! I 100% know how good healthy exercise keeps the wolves at bay - anxiety being my particular wolf. I have no idea if you are near a pool or even like water, but I met a woman at my gym’s pool - a runner - with an injury. She is water running until her foot injury heals. It’s a heck of a workout. I tried it. In the meantime, give yourself the same love and support you give your running buddies. ❤️
My mental health is also tied to my overall well being. I too am not in a good place as far as working out, doing my art etc. It is like I am in mud, and am stuck. It get this video, thanks
Oh Lucy! ❤ I can so relate. I hit a brick wall when I got this injury mentally. But I made a conscious decision to walk if I couldn’t run, crawl if I couldn’t walk. My mental health needed it!! It wasn’t easy but I have done it. Those Conquer challenges that you got me into have been my saving grace. They gave me something to work towards. A reason to keep moving regardless of pace. It means that now I can start to run a bit, my health only took a dip not a complete standstill. You’ve got this lovely! Adjust your goals to allow foot to heal. We are so much better when we have a plan of action. 💕 You are special, and you are worth it 💕
First off, huge kudos for the discipline during the recovery period! So many people know the break is good for them but it is so tempting to go for an easy jog. Secondly, even if you can't run at the moment, are you still able to do gym? I found that for my mental health that did as much good as running. Not sure if your injury prevents you from doing it though.

Lucy, we are here for you and will continue to support you in your journey. I am dealing with some health issues at the moment that are limiting my running. My goal is to do what I can when I can. Yesterday my long run was really difficult and I ended up walking most of it. Today I ran really slowly for 15 minutes and walked for 15 minutes. I can walk faster than the speed I ran today. But I know I will eventually get back to my training plan in about a month. Until then I am doing what I can, when I can. Best wishes and better health! 😀❤️👟🌈🙏

Oh gosh. Was there last month. I promised gym friends not to run for a full month to get stronger legs. Big mistake. My husband nearly killed me. Sometimes yoga helped. Walking didn't. I wish it had. I so relate to the feeling of not being able to accomplish anything and being labeled not a runner. My brother and father are runners and they tolerate my slow runs, my ineffectual runs. No cheering just forced smiles. It's painful. Especially as a sort of cared for woman. Running gives me freedom. I don't care if I'm slow. Running between neighborhoods and over hills and across creeks. Jumping over rocks and slamming at the track is so freaking fun. I'll never run a sub 4 mile, but I'm going to have fun running. It would be ridiculous to stop because I couldn't compete in the Olympics. It's so real the mind spins without a good run. take care. Maybe go for a walk with Storm... ✌
Not the same but I couldn’t ride my bike last week cuz of the extreme heat wave we had here but that just means next time I do get out it’ll be awesome. Just visualize the next run being great and it probably will be. 😊
Hello I wanted to ask if it’s okay to run(beginner only 2-3 km) with music. Because I have a significantly harder time running without it I guess, but then it feels like that it detracts from the true running experience because good runners I know irl just always ran, no music at all. Also I worry if I won’t be run as well without music if certain situation happens I know it’s a stupid worry though since results matter regardless. But still. Also hope you will be alright soon, sending love. 🌷
Of course it’s ok! Running with or without music is still running. If you enjoy running with music then don’t take that joy away from yourself! I am always running with music and the only time I don’t it’s because I’m forced not too because an event doesn’t allow it. That would only be due to safety on the day though. Please don’t worry about it. Get those trainers on and get those tunes on - you’re already a good runner!! 🏃🏻♀️🫶🏻
