Tinde: Those yarns are usually discounted if there is less than 100gram or if the color does not perfectly match the color palette. So technically its nothing wrong with them to just grab and knit with them, but as thery dont match the manufacturers description they cannot be sold for a full price :)
You are right, those colors look fabulous on you. If you complete all the projects you mentioned you will have some gorgeous, classic pieces! Amazing haul 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
So cool to see you visited Hillesvåg. This is in my neighborhood! And even if the yarn is quite rustic just know that it will soften up with every use and wash
Just some translations, enjoy :) Norsk pelsullgarn = Norwegian fur-wool-yarn Dark green yarn (4:25): Tinde pelsullgarn, gressgrønn = Peak fur-wool-yarn, grass-green Light green yarn (6:18): Tinde pelsullgarn, støvet lys lime = Peak fur-wool-yarn, dusty light lime Grey yarn (9:56): Vilje Norsk lamullgarn, melert lys brun = Will Norwegian Lamb-wool-yarn, mottled light brown White yarn (10:58): didn't see the colour name Grey yarn (12:15): Norsk villsau lamullgarn, naturgrå = Norwegian wild sheep lamb-wool-yarn, natural grey the store (17:04): strikkelykke = happiness found in knitting white yarn (18:44): Kos = food second store (20:04): modelstrik = pattern stitch third store (24:16): Bryggen husflid = the dock home works light blue yarn (25:15): Viking garn Alpaca Bris = Viking yarn Aplaca breeze the rest didn't have anything to translate (also, I'm Danish so they may be slightly off, but they should be very close)
Yes Green suits you! Norway and Iceland are the yarn countries of Europe. For now I am happy with cheap yarn from the supermarket and local yarn shop but I will visit Norway one day for yarn shopping. Greetings from Finland.
Hi Tiffany! I am also a very big fan of Hillesvåg. I live in Germany and I am dreaming to visit Norway just to go there and buy like a crazy 🤣. I have the unspun yarn from them and I can only say: I LOVE IT! I'm also like you on a green-gray era🤣. We should just enjoy it. Very beautiful everything you bought and happy that I found you😊
You can ask hillesvåg to mix a custom colour, but if you don’t like this you don’t have to buy it and it goes in the discount bin. So it might be that. They are also quite strict with their colours and quality so if there is even a slight mismatch or wrong twist/ breakage, in the discount bin it goes.
It is my dream to go yarn shopping in Norway and go to all the mills! Smita from Your Next Knit in West Vancouver (online store) carries several Hillesvag yarns including the unspun! I made the Petiteknit Ingrid out of the Tinde in a slightly darker green held with KFO mohair in bottle green and it is just stunning.
It was funny to see how crazy you got! But very relatable ;) sorry if I missed it, but what was the color number of the Viking Garn Alpaca Bris? It's beautiful!

"Strikkelykke" is Norwegian for "knitting happiness"
That is actually the most wholesome thing ever

Your first green yarns name is grass green💚😊
The Sandnes garn store, was that in Sandnes or in Bergen?
Sandnes!
I can't believe how cheap the yarn is! Wow
Alot of discounts are just to help to soldout old stock. No need to be something wrong with those yarns.
Haha you think every color is your colour😂 it's cute and positive but some colours are for sure better than others.😊
Oh for suuuuure, but I can’t help but love them all 💕
your outfit is soooo cute!! slay
