It's hilarious how powerful they get with the usual bleed shenanigans...not sure there'd be anything new about it except using the successive atks buff maybe.
1. Black Knight Sword 2. Hollowslayer Greatsword 3. Astora Greatsword Honestly I didn't try all that much different weapon types, just normal swords, katanas, greatswords and ultra great swords. I platinum'd the game and had a like 66//60 build with all the soft caps by the end. I also used the splitleaf greatsword but the only weapon that really spoke to me was the black knight sword, which I had just used for the first NG cycle of DS1's platinum. It had the best damage of all the weapons. Also I never understood twinblades, the combo everyone loves uses too much time/stamina for it to be worth it vs a higher damage weapon, for the hard bosses you usually only have time for like 1 safe hit.
This run was awesome to watch. Daggers was the second run I did after my first original playthrough in Elden Ring so it's cool seeing everything now that we know a lot more about the game
daggers was the first run i ever did and it kinda disappointed me to see so many people talking about how bad they are, if you maximize crit or bleed, a lot of fights can become pretty trivial
Something interesting I found about crits they get a massive buff when your at full buffs from winged sword Millicents and the thorny cracked tear I hit one with a curved sword with base the base crit multiplier and the dagger talisman for almost 6k
They're not great, but I'll stand by a late-game blender build: dual wield poison-infused Bloodstained Daggers. (Alternatively, go Occult infusions + poison mist. Poison build-up is pretty much a non-issue, either way.) Run both Lord of Blood's & Kindred of Rot's Exaltations, Winged Sword/Milicent's Prosthesis, and whatever fourth talisman you want. Get minimum stat requirements, but, otherwise, pump everything into Arcane, Vigor, and Endurance. Innate bleed build-up _with_ non-somber upgrading means you can double-dip Arcane scaling for damage & multiple status build-ups. Poison exists solely to buff with Kindred of Rot's. You can _easily_ pump out thousands of damage in just a couple of attack chains once everything ramps up --- it's actually a little terrifying, and makes short work of bosses with limited mobility (like Mogh and Placidusax).
1:47!48 that is dolores, the sleeping arrow. one of the 2 options for seluvis' first puppet purchase, the other being next to him, fingermaiden therolina. he actually sends therolina to aid against the radahn fight. and bcuz she is a puppet thats why she never speaks, only bows. sadly, that isnt letmesoloher(official retcon needs to happen last year) its jarwright.

And then you come with a great vid on my favourite weapon type, now I am very tempted to either just start over again or just switch my current build to daggers instead xD
Mix. Erdsteel with any of the arcane related infusions will get you nice scaling on those stats. A good caster needs a backup weapon anyways, for emergencies. Made a longer more detailed comment but TH-cam deleted it
@@nnaammllooss11 a good caster always should have a backup in case they run out of magic or get in a too tight spot. Any who claims they don't just doesn't have any idea what they are talking about and will soon find themselves dead. One of my earliest playthroughs was a dragon caster like you, with reduvia as a backup (Dragon seal scales MUCH more with arcane than faith, the latter barely affects the power of it) and it worked great, the blood blade comes pretty fast and uses low fp, you can really treat it as a cantrip or extra spell. You can make use of that for a dragon communion build. Safe travels, tarnished
I can and have done full casters before successfully and it works fine tbf, for PvE you definitely dont need a melee backup if you have a good build xD But it does help and is never a bad thing to have. That said, I will definitely give it a good think. Erdsteel and Reduvia are solid options so I might switch my occult spiked club for one of those. But I haven't fully decided yet if I stick with what I got now, or if I switch to full daggers again. Both build options are a lot of fun.
1:58:00 There are multiple theories why Seleen became a Graven Mass. One theory is that was her plan all along, that's why she wanted the bodies of Azur and Lusatt, so she could fuse with them and become a Graven Mass (and Graven Masses *are* kinda the thing that Primevil Current sorcerers are known for) The other theory, is that when Seleen "killed" Renalla, she didn't know Renalla effectively can't die, because she has about 1000 re-birthed clones, so Renalla just came back and turned her *into* a Graven Mass.
my favorite build that I can never do because they keep being end game in my elden ring rando runs is great stars and rot hammer with poison mist and hooffrost stomp (or whatever they're called) cuz then you do rot poison frost bleed all at once

This was my first playthrough. Daggers only. After I got reduvia it was set in stone. Love daggers in this game, it's the only game where you can really make daggers work.
Wakizashi was weirdly important for my first playthru, I got banished to Caelid by the chest like immediately and stumbled into the cave with my starting stonesword key and picked it up lol
Is there a place where you have your routes for no hit runs? I was trying to attempt one myself but it would be nice to see something I can follow at my own pace.
Twin Great Knife or Great knife/Reduvia on a Dex/Arcane build (or twin Bloodstained dagger for Str/Arc) is one of the best builds in the game. The multi-hits talismans, combined with the speed of your attacks & LoBE/SoA = huge numbers, plus super easy status procs. (The only thing that bugs me is you can't put Seppuku on a dagger, which is ridiculous but the other bleed AoW work just fine).
The parkour sectons make my teeth itch, if on a small platform I prefer to jump in place and then hold down circle (I'm on playstation) in the air and hold it on landing, the player character will then go into a full sprint from standing when a direction is selected and you can do immediate long jumps.
main build for my playthrough was buckler shield, mescord w/bloody slash and the assassin's charm for regen. loved it no matter how weak it is comparatively
I can barely get through a lot of these fights while TRYING my best, and here you are fing around in your menu, dancing around the bosses like you're walking in the park...
I did this around summer time last year, and its not as bad as you think. Elden Ring was my first souls like, but immediately i picked up daggers as soon as i saw them. For one, horse back combat is impossible, so most knights cavalry bosses were done on foot. Dragons were also the same way. Second the attack speed of the daggers and the talismans that give you consecutive hits are amazing. Blood loss occurs every like 2-5 combo attacks depending on resistances, your own stats in arcane, and what weapons you use. Rot and poison are stackable and really easy to afflict on an opponent. Theres not real weapon for frost or death, but regardless, it still strong cause of the blights that are available. Third, you absolutely have to be in the enemies face. Theres no if ands or buts about it, but at the same time, most daggers that arent special have quickstep, which is a roll that is replaced with a slide and lefts you even do a semicircle around an opponent, making you very agile and can even pull of the nastiest backstabs sometimes. For me, my primaries were the Bloodstained Dagger in my main hand (this can be farmed as early as Weeping pen. by killing the large Demi Human resting on the bridge to the left of the Demi human forest.) And some fist weapons (for enemies that are slash/pierce resistant), and in my secondary hand, id have both Reduvia, for blood loss, or the Scorpion Stinger, for rot in the secondary hot bars. I actually capitalized on the usefulness of the daggers because I used the Black Whetstone on the Bloodstained Dagger to make it so that it scaled with Arcane, and so that it not only applies natural Blood loss, but Poison too. So basically Right hand was BSD, and left hand was either Red. or S.Sting. Theres also a ton of other daggers i used but these just seemed great for statuses and such. I had a blast with the daggers. They definitely do a bunch of damage but it for sure sacrifices being at a safe distance. It also really teaches you to learn the enemies moves since you arent gonna be able to gain distance on them fast enough. 10/10 would recommend.
I started the convergence mod yesterday as a blood initiate. So I went to grab the reduvia... and I noticed in convergence, it does STRAIGHT fire damage... like bloodflame... that mod is so friggin awesome man... and anybody who hasn't played it yet. I suggest they do... it's simple to install too... if I can do it, ANYBODY can
Incredibly fun watch. The way you eke out just that smallest little bit more damage than Everyone else who plays this game , makes all the difference Ducking under attacks other people would dodge. Or just tank Beautiful
Every time someone has told me something, at least as a generalized class of things, is useless in Elden Ring, me and my buddy have done a challenge run in seamless coop to test it. We heard fist weapons were bad, and we glitched into Leyndell at like lv56 and killed Morgott sub 60. We heard throwable items are bad, and recognizing that they definitely don't do enough damage for some bosses we decided to use bows and crossbows as well since they're gated by max ammo amounts. They're not as good as fists, but they work real good. Every time we go back to our standard dex arcane bleed and pure mage builds, we realize there's something about doing challenge runs.
this is the second video i watched from this guy and when he attacked ranni to test hits... that made me do a deeply disturbed face. Fun vid tho will do a dagger run too
I used Reduvia for most of a playthrough, then Great knife with Endure and Frost/Innate Bleed W/ Reduvia, tanking with daggers at light load is amazing
I used daggers on my first play through. Very effective, however they don't stagger enemies often so I ended up switching to double pole arms and they were much easier to use
My favorite DS3 weapons are Hollow Slayer, Lothric SS (Baller Swag Sword vibes), carthus curved, Nameless King Swordspear, Millwood Axe and like in every From game, Claymore, butcher knife and Black Knight weapons. FUGS and Profaned UGS are fun too and most of the dlc weapons were great. Such an awesome game and has my favorite fashion in it.

Over 3 hour EDITED video, you're a legend man
I like how Gino is such a pefectionist with these games that everytime he gets hit once or misses an attack he says "devastating" lol
Wakizashi was weirdly important for my first playthru, I got banished to Caelid by the chest like immediately and stumbled into the cave with my starting stonesword key and picked it up lol
When Gino dies the opponents screen shows 'god felled.'
Is there a place where you have your routes for no hit runs? I was trying to attempt one myself but it would be nice to see something I can follow at my own pace.
That giant fly made me laugh way too hard. Glory, brave fly!!
Damn this london playthrough looks mad
Twin Great Knife or Great knife/Reduvia on a Dex/Arcane build (or twin Bloodstained dagger for Str/Arc) is one of the best builds in the game. The multi-hits talismans, combined with the speed of your attacks & LoBE/SoA = huge numbers, plus super easy status procs. (The only thing that bugs me is you can't put Seppuku on a dagger, which is ridiculous but the other bleed AoW work just fine).
loBE and SoA being?
@@lijahjones3844 Lord of Blood's Exultation & Shard of Alexander
@@lijahjones3844little late but probably lord of blood exultation and shard of Alexander
The parkour sectons make my teeth itch, if on a small platform I prefer to jump in place and then hold down circle (I'm on playstation) in the air and hold it on landing, the player character will then go into a full sprint from standing when a direction is selected and you can do immediate long jumps.
those parrys on Malenia were awesome man, great video
He really needed to lock on to dem grippers on dat golem
That Knight at Fort Haight DOES have Lord of Blood’s Exultation
hope to see no hit runs include the dlc when it comes
main build for my playthrough was buckler shield, mescord w/bloody slash and the assassin's charm for regen. loved it no matter how weak it is comparatively
Alternae title:Elden ring but im british
I suggest they do... it's simple to install too... if I can do it, ANYBODY can
3 hour gino video? christmas has come early!
Incredibly fun watch. The way you eke out just that smallest little bit more damage than Everyone else who plays this game , makes all the difference
Ducking under attacks other people would dodge. Or just tank
Beautiful
"do i like playboi carti? i don't know who that is" average novo amor enjoyer OMEGALUL
🔥🔥🔥
I've also noticed the bile titan issue. I thought I noticed it on extreme (level 6) they ate an entire railgun to the face.
daggers are really OP in pvp, right up there with fists/claws.
Me: you can't stun a dragon.
Gino: oh yes I can.
Kenneth saying this is madness before being kicked off to his death is funny
Did the glintblade phalanx AoW get nerfed since this vid? The staggers don't happen for me.
Are u charging it fully?
Blade of Calling is my favorite dagger. The knockdown is hilarious!
this is the second video i watched from this guy and when he attacked ranni to test hits... that made me do a deeply disturbed face.
Enotria really made such a choice putting their release date on the same day of Shadow of the Erdtree.
Such an awesome game and has my favorite fashion in it.
we need an infinite stamina flask, that would really kick off dual dagger builds because the huge bottleneck for them is the stamina
