Kalba, located 120km east of Sharjah city and around 12km south of Fujairah city, is Sharjah’s most southerly settlement before the border with Oman.
Explore an over 7-kilometre stretch of shimmering sand and pristine water at the Kalba Beach. Tourists come here to relax while keeping an eye open for endangered wildlife. Located just off the Khor Kalba Conservation Reserve, a mangrove forest teeming with Sharjah wildlife, the beach is visited by rare animals and is an important nesting site for hawksbill turtles. It is also the only breeding place in the UAE for the endangered Arabian-collared kingfisher.
