If I’m that guy, my answer is: There is no real capital of Japan, Tokyo is just the place with most government parliaments, buildings so we assume it capital. That’s what I learned so far.
If you visit Japan or live there, you’ll hear about Shohei Ohtani. He’s literally plastered everywhere, on the news daily and on commercials. It’s a very fair question to ask.
I was so close to visiting and working in Japan at one point. I'm a Motion Capture performer and in late 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the facial likeness role of Leon for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. I failed to mention I also have a voice acting background, in the end I lost the part and I can't forgive myself for wasting such an opportunity. That would've been a real dream come true to visit Japan. Great video.

the difficulty jump to the baseball question was a bit unexpected. here in germany you dont hear anything about baseball. its mainly football(soccer) and a little bit handball. the only reason why i even know baseball exists is due to anime and wii sports. and barely anyone watches tv anymore, so even people who live in japan are not exposed to japanese news.
It’s true that baseball isn’t popular in europe but I think people who live in Japan still might have heard of him since they often play news on the little TVs on the train above the door - I couldn’t remember the guys name but I’ve definitely seen him on a short news segment while taking trains in Tokyo, but like I said, there’s no way I would have remembered it for this haha
I thought this would end without no one winning haha. I got 2/5 of the questions. For the manga question, I was thinking Naruto/Detective Conan. I've only heard about Ohtani Shohei just recently but I don't really know him. The elimination method the two guys used was smart. What type of work is available for foreigners to be able to afford living there for years? I’m curious what these people do and how they perform day to day tasks without being fluent in japanese
It is a good question. Initially in the 1980's it was English teaching, hostess bars and modelling, a few corporate or foreign missions (embassy), but now days a larger range of work in the services industry is available. For example foreigners work in the jobs from convenient stores, to start ups in the tech/phone App/Fin Tech.

because even though the US counts as one country its so big that you cant really see it as one. saying "i am from the US" is basically like saying " i am from europe". they want to be more precise. if the "bundesländer" in germany were not so small and irrelevant i would mention mine too, because its a relatively big difference where you come from even in such a small country. so its reasonable to mention their state, considering the size.
@@CrolyGiart I love your answer but strangely it's not the answer to the question he tried to ask. I say "tried" because he made a mistake himself in his question and that misled you in your answer. In his question he said "Americans say they are from the state" but what he wanted to say was that "Americans say they are from the States." Nuance. Because he said 'state' rather than 'States', you thought he was saying that Americans name their individual state as the country they are from. That's not what he was saying. He indirectly misled you. To answer his question: Americans say they are from the States because they like shortening name of certain things to make it more fanciful. The "States" in their answer is the short form of the name "United States of America" and of the USA. It's like Bill Clinton for William Jefferson Clinton. Or Jimmy Carter for James Carter III or Tony for Anthony or Lisa for Elizabeth or Maggie for Margaret etc So yes, Americans are as much correct to say they are from the "States" as you will be correct to call Lisa somebody whose name is Elisabeth.
