Ceiling fans makes your room more warmer because it brings down the hot air downwards specially for house where roofs or ceilings are not insulated from the heat of the sun
hot air is lighter than cold air that’s why it stays near the ceilings …that’s why air conditioners are installed on the highest level in a room or space because cold air is heavier and it stays down

Been watching your videos lately to decide between moving to China or the Philippines next year. For the same cost of living, you get a much better quality of life in China. Of course, English isn't as widely spoken in PH, but the comfort and the infrastructure development in China is what sets it apart for me.
@@Regular_Guyph I was comparing the cost of living in the province in PH (like in this video) to a major city of 15 million in China, yet the cost of living is about the same (cost of food, transportation, etc is higher in PH). If I compare BGC or Cebu, to a major city in China. China will come out ahead even further.
China? The Philippines might have their flaws but they are essentially free and democratic in essence. In China you never know if the govt. might lock you up one day. And you will constantly be under surveillance there too.
Strange. Usually places off the beaten path like Coco have a trike they can call to take you where you want. Also every hotel/resort has a hot water pot for powdered coffee till you can make it to a brewed coffee joint. It's OK with me..

But it ended with the total best comment of the whole video "I'm messaging my mom trying to make this food babe jealous" Back on form! OMG, Scotty Boy you are hilarious!!! No babearoonies for you still. Thanks though, as you had a number of babearoonies to show us in this video even if you couldn’t get any for you. Keep trying and your luck will change soon.
Depends who you get your info from. Alona is obviously not a city center. As I mentioned before, there is a road that leads down a pretty steep hill to the beach. The hotels on the beach are quite expensive predictably, however, if you walk up that hill to the top to the main road , and start walking away from the beach, you can then start checking into the hotels and you will find the price has dropped PRECIPITOUSLY the further you get away from the beach, but you are still in easy walking distance of the beach. The one I was in had no aircon, and was tiny, but it had a ceiling fan above the bed that did a great job keeping me cool. It was crazy cheap. Having said all that, you apparently don't enjoy the beaches, so maybe just move into Tag, I guess.
Anyone constantly reporting on prices in the Philippines or asking about prices, should not consider coming here. LIving like this is NOT sustainable. Plan on at least $3000 per month to live a fair life in the Phils.. if you are asking these questions, you can’t afford to travel. Regular guy spends half of his videos wasting time bartering over a 3 or 4 dollars a night in a stay.. this is a 3rd world country.. I haven’t had a hot shower in 6 months, and I love it! I own a home with NO hot water! I would not want it any other way… Scottie Boy needs to understand where he is. He is a world traveler which I love, but he is a diva.
$3000/month? 😂 if you don’t think you could manage without 3k a month it would be highly advisable not to go as that’s just financial incompetence. Unless you just love wasting money.
@@Wizerud I have been here quite some time.. I know what life here is like on the ground.. $3K can give you a pretty fair life for sure.. if you are chasing pussy, you will need $4 or 5K.. Certain things are inexpensive for sure, but groceries are not.. if you want to live on street food, sure, but paper products, cleaning products, laundry products, very expensive here.. Don't give me shit because I am doing it..
@@amaliahightower that might be based on your background, where you come from, what you are accustomed to... of course.. God bless you for doing that. I try to do that! Some months I am at $1K, others I am at $3K.. I was addressing people considering moving here.. if you are that fixated on prices, you can't afford to be here, regardless, phils, thailand, wherever.. Additionally you have to consider the potential cost of travel back to home country, taxes in the US, etc.. amortized monthly it is much much more than you think it is.. be well
@geofencingtv When ever an expat put up this "you need at least 3k or more.." statements I always get this feeling that the statement is not about the costs, but more about the expat community. I mean, how much can a destitute expat realistic expect to borrow from an expat coming with a 1500 budget? I guess it isn't worth the time to try to squeeze juice.. ?

Omg Scotty, another thing we have in common... I stayed at the same red doors that you showed 13:41. The owners is an old couple who was very sweet and kind
When I stayed there, it was a transitioning. And things were not fully set up yet. That's why I got a refund.
11:19 - a bit of quality underrated editing, Scotty. Respect. Glad you finally found a nice place to stay. It's no Malaybalay but Tagbilaran looks lovely!
Haha yes that's true Scott

Scotty my boy, $10 usd a night and you complaining about the internet? That room was great. Stop being cheap charlie 🤣🤣 Go to internet cafe or a local business with free wifi
He want to have the best for cheap
He's greedy

LightvI swear to you. I never comment. I opened chat just to say what you have said HE wants high speed hot water comfy bed. Room service wash the towels room service free breakfast why the frig doesn't he just walk in and say. How much will you pay me to stay here? Now he is complaining about opening at ten. Maybe he should write a memo send it put so the stores will open at 6. Because he is so important. He deserves better. He is Svotyy boy you know.
I only heard him mention $20/night, 1,000 pesos / night.

Ceiling fans makes your room more warmer because it brings down the hot air downwards specially for house where roofs or ceilings are not insulated from the heat of the sun
it seems to keep me cool.. i guess different strokes for different folks
hot air is lighter than cold air that’s why it stays near the ceilings …that’s why air conditioners are installed on the highest level in a room or space because cold air is heavier and it stays down
Scotty you keep speaking in Tagalog…..ie masarap….tastes good….please try the local dialect….lami…tastes good or Lami kaayo…..very tasty…
So what was the internet speed at the 1000 pesos hotel? :)
About 4mbps good enough

Been watching your videos lately to decide between moving to China or the Philippines next year. For the same cost of living, you get a much better quality of life in China. Of course, English isn't as widely spoken in PH, but the comfort and the infrastructure development in China is what sets it apart for me.
It's not the 2 countries it's the specific location in each country
@@Regular_Guyph I was comparing the cost of living in the province in PH (like in this video) to a major city of 15 million in China, yet the cost of living is about the same (cost of food, transportation, etc is higher in PH). If I compare BGC or Cebu, to a major city in China. China will come out ahead even further.
China has some hot babaroonies. They're usually not westernized, very gentle and super active in the sack.
I'll be watching for you on the news when your government is attempting to negotiate a deal with the Chinese government to set you free. lol
China?
The Philippines might have their flaws but they are essentially free and democratic in essence.
In China you never know if the govt. might lock you up one day.
And you will constantly be under surveillance there too.
How do I get a tourist visa for the Philippines
Just fly in. You get it automatically
Strange. Usually places off the beaten path like Coco have a trike they can call to take you where you want. Also every hotel/resort has a hot water pot for powdered coffee till you can make it to a brewed coffee joint. It's OK with me..

The second half was another Scotty classic. First there was the observation that if you don't keep in touch with people for a while, then when you try, sometimes they are dead. I know the feeling, I'm almost dead myself!
And then there was the missed stick person opportunity at the tables outside the 7-11.
But it ended with the total best comment of the whole video "I'm messaging my mom trying to make this food babe jealous"
Back on form! This is the Scotty that I like, seemingly innocent comments that are hilarious in some way. Monty Python style humour but it's not a script, it's part of his style.
Watch out for the Bohol gal, there's a big risk factor if renewed interest happens because the useless new boyfriend will keep up contact with her and use her to try to get into Canada. I've seen it happen.

1250 is more like 22 USD😊
Hahah good advice at the end yes
Wow $3,000 a month! That’s a luxury life in the 🇵🇭. My average spending is $500-600/month and it’s a fair life for 2 people.
