@@svin7987 That is correct that it was co-written by Charlie Midnight. Actually, I’ve read that it was considerably different than the “I Can Dream About You” album. Dan was trying to create a more raw and edgier recording with this album. The lyrics were supposed to be more powerful and thought-provoking. His record company, MCA, thought the album was too much of a stylistic departure from the previous album and refused to release it. That’s why the album was shelved and only bootleg and rare copies are accessible. I actually prefer the “White Boy” album.
@@chipreid873 i must admit i didn't listen to much of the song, but what i listened to, sounds like the style of I Can Dream About You album, where Dan wrote all the songs with Charlie Midnight, except the title song which he wrote himself and Electricity which he wrote with Nona Hendryx.
@@svin7987 I Can Dream About You is a great album as well. I knew about his work with Hendrix but I didn’t know that was for the song Electricity specifically.
@@chipreid873 how could you avoid knowing that? I know it from the credits in the inlay, but of course the only way you can literally know who wrote the existing songs is if you watched the songs being written into existence. It's Hendryx, by the way, not Hendrix
his all time fave album for me is It Hurts to be in Love. play it often. and right after thaat is vertigo/relight my fire the best orchestral disco creation. accept no lame remakes

I also uploaded the last 4 or 5 songs which complete the missing unreleased album "White Boy" on my channel. Check 'em out! Although the album is completely on TH-cam now, 35 years later, I would have loved to have owned the cassette release of it!!! I'm very vintage.
