well mathematically its not that bad, each stack at that point gives roughly 30 hp, each point of hp is worth 2.66~ gp (ruby crystal) so he ended up getting around 240gp worth of value from those 3 stacks alone. so he effectively got a kill's worth of gold in stats from that death. Also by the end of the game he gained 3,853.33~ gp worth of hp from just the stacks alone, not including the additional 3% total hp from the mythic passive or the bonus AD from titanic.

You need two items to cover for both armor and mr, sunfire and spirit visage for example, or otherwise you get melted instantly by all the max and current health in the game. Yes the damage scales, but like, just getting eclipse with deaths dance and maw is enough, you heal for more effective hp then you gain stacking the hearsteel, and you still have resists.

Yeah, Heartsteel breaks every bruiser in the game. Just finished fighting a full tank Morde with 1000 stacks, a total of 7k health and a demonic embrace giving him 400 AP on top of it all. Such fun many balance!
