প্রতিকূল ব্যবসায়িক পরিবেশে যখন সব কোম্পানির মুনাফা কমছে, বহুজাতিক ও স্থানীয় হাতেগোনা কিছু কোম্পানির মুনাফায় তখনো মোটামুটি প্রবৃদ্ধি ছিল। প্রতিবেশী ভারতসহ অন্যান্য দেশে এ ধরনের কোম্পানির শেয়ার যে মূল্যস্থরে কেনাবেচা হচ্ছে, সে তুলনায় বাংলাদেশে সেগুলোর দাম অনেক কম। এ দূরত্ব এক সময় কমে যাবে। বিধি-নিষেধ না দিয়ে পাঁচ বছরের জন্য ১০০ কোটি টাকার তহবিল দেওয়া হলে, ধাপে ধাপে পুরো টাকাই এসব শেয়ারে বিনিয়োগ করতেন দেশের শীর্ষস্থানীয় সম্পদ ব্যবস্থাপক শহিদুল ইসলাম, সিএফএ।
