Incredible stuff! Thanks so much for posting these videos. I would have loved to hear a bit of Kan Mikami from that era, too, but a treasure trove of Haino is simply the best thing! Cheers from France!
@@benjaminmouliets8038 ack! I thought I had some (it was the same week I shot all the videos) but couldn't find it in this batch of videos. I'm afraid it is probably lost.
@@linseyherman Ah, such a pity... I wrote a book about Mikami, and 1991 is one of his best years. Thanks anyway for sharing your impressive collection!
@@benjaminmouliets8038 I am so sorry for getting your hopes up! I'm a little disappointed myself given I saw him two-three times that summer. If I find anything I'll post!
@@linseyherman Don't blame yourself, it's only bad luck! Thanks again for going through your old tapes. If you ever find anything with Mikami, I'll send you a free copy of the book (it comes with a CD of unheard live gigs from a later era, 2007-2008).
Fushitsusha in this period was a BLAST. They're one of my favorite power-trios ever. Thanks again for your very important footage, Linsey! In my own research, I've realized that all these Japanese underground bands from this period (final of the 1980s and on) have some debt of influence from Les Rallizes Dénudés, a band that started in 1968, even though Haino Keiji was a contemporary, starting career with Lost Aaraaff in 1971. Do you have some footage of the Les Rallizes Dénudés?
@@GCSoundArtifactsthere's such a minimal amount of LRD footage that you've probably already found everything that exists. Hopefully you're enjoying the LRD remasters recently though - if not I will absolutely recommend BAUS 93 and CITTA 93
much more important work than a college thesis....
This is awesome.

I wish I did - unfortunately I do not have any.
@@linseyherman That's OK, no problem. Thanks anyway! You've already done important documents for us, music lovers!
