With the CAN controlled diff, you could choose to make it act like an open diff, 1.0 way lsd, 1.5 way lsd, 2 way lsd, or spool. All with the touch of a button. That's pretty dang sweet!
That would really depend on how the diff locks up mechanically. Such things have existed in offroad for a long time, and it doesn't really work like that.
Them saying use white on give away means they want you to have the better looking rims. No if your asking us what looks better then we all thing black but he only says white so your personal supra can get them. No black for give away and buy another set of black rims
@@braev818 exactly, I guess most people realize the odds of winning the car are close to that of a small country's lottery, so would get more enjoyment out of seeing Adam's car with the nice wheels than the giveaway car.

They are just cutting out the old unit and soldering in their own. Only slightly more complicated than replacing a CPU in a computer. I'm assuming they will sell plug and play units to normal customers and do all this work in-house
The diamond black looks so sleek , compared to the white, the stickers do pop out more tho which is a nice touch. The red details on the diamond black go with the red on the supra calipers which is a very nice compliment, idk Adam its a very tough decision but imo the white is like JDM certified, ITS TOUGHH.
Yeah I was kinda considering buying an A90 with this idea in mind, but all of the cutting and soldering makes it seem like it'd be better off just getting a manual supra in the first place 🤷🏽♂
Knowing adam, he'll likely find out how to make the process much easier and plug/play. When he brings it to market, i doubt itll require as much finicking as we saw in the vid (at least i hope!)
@@hesisportscards7699 I'm not sure the final product would involve cutting open the TCU like he did in Adam's car. The best indicator would be look at their solutions for BMWs. At the very least it would involve dropping the pan and installing an already modified TCU or a custom one. This looks more like they are prototyping at the moment beings that it is the first iteration.
The diamond black is perfect! White is nice, but I have seen those often on blue Supras and GTR's. The black still has metallic and is beautiful, but in a slightly understated way
You could always take different gauge springs and attach iT to the pedal and the other end make a tab to hook the spring then as you push the pedal it will tension the spring You could literally take multiple springs and find which clutch pressure works for you
I'm so fricken excited for this kit! My Supra is my autocross car so I prefer the paddles on it, but I do miss all the fun you can have playing with a third peddle. Definitely getting this 👌
The auto is objectively faster for circuit & auto-x, & when this is a cohesive package setup I think it will solidify itself as the 100% best all-around setup to have for a supra. Making ~600hp on a super responsive turbo setup & it'll literally be able to do anything. I am soooo excited to see where this takes things & I am so glad that things took a complete turn around from the disappointment we all felt at launch seeing Supras only available in 8-speed auto.
it retains the paddles, you don’t need the clutch to shift or get going. the clutch only works to disengage the clutch for clutch kicks and ebrake pulls
Hilarious... So it is like neutral dropping the car? Yes, So the car can take it? Apparently?!!!?? The part that scares me is the longevity of the clutches especially since you won't be driving it lightly. I am impressed at the R&D put in to accomplish this. As for the give-a-way car: Black Diamond Wheels!!! More of the gentleman/sleeper look.
You should look into what kind of potentiometer / voltage divider ( also called a variable resistor / rheostat if using 2 of the 3 wires ) is being used on the old gas/new clutch pedal. These can become inaccurate due to wear to the carbon resistive element from the wiper sweeping across it. Two of the terminals are connected to the opposite ends (vcc 3.3-5v and gnd ground) of a resistive element, and the third terminal connects to a sliding contact, called a wiper (output), moving over the resistive element. Newer contactless magnet tech such as the AS5600L Magnetic Rotary Position Sensors are more accurate and durable. [Think joystick drift of Nintendo Switch / XBOX as old tech vs Sony PS lasting forever because it uses magnet based hall sensors, you can get replacements now from companies like GuliKit for your drifting JoyCons]
I’ve been wanting to do this to an EV for years. Basically put an extra pedal and shifter from a race sim in a EV and then program it to act like a manual
@@1badpiter458 right? I don’t feel like it would be that hard. But also very difficult lol 😂 Depends on whether you tried doing it to a Tesla or if you built your own EV swapped car. Also thought about jsut replacing the gas engine with an electric motor, keeping the clutch and flywheel. A truly manual EV.
the new trans sounds wild on the tech side. Amazing job from HTG. also ive got to say 265 on the front and RSP with white TE's is my choice. cant go wrong with that color combo 🔥
These guys are going to bring modern car tuning into the new age. This is awesome! The white wheels on the giveaway away supra do not work well aesthetically personally speaking. The darker wheels work well with the carbon and dark accents.
Paralyzed from the waist down so this is a game changer if I could mount some kind of remote clutch system directly to my hand controls. Could this potentially work with the BMW f30 platform and if so will you also include a plug and play option for it.
When you see a guy just rip 30+ wires re-ball and solder a new wafer and have it up and running in hours while Johan shakes his head you have to realise these HTG guys are legit. They are doing this to DCG Porches work 10X the price of an old Supra. They know what they are doing and furthermore there is now a manual option and the option of a manual swap. HTG knows that it's worth there time to spool up this kit for all the existing Auto BMSupras spend the money to fab and sell and make some money (unless they are just doing it for the LZ bump but it doesn't look like it) HTG Adam is a beast even if I personally think this is a silly project it's probably going to end up being a "Bolt on flash and party down" solution for half as much as a manual swap with a lot more control and less lingering ECU gremlins.
