The backstory actually sounds like Maxwell and his dad from Freak the Mighty. Literally, I read it in 5th grade. About the same things happened in the story, how Kenneth Kane (his dad) killed Ann (the mom), how Kenneth kidnapped Maxwell, etc. Grateful that it wasn’t a sicko relationship.😮💨

Cleo kidnapped Ali because she was too shy to admit her feelings to him, because he was famous and was probably in love with someone else.

It's a bit glitch but it doesn't take away from how fun and how pretty the two characters look ;D
