Wonderful! Thank you for this inspiring tutorial. I'm sure you've got lots of fabric sources, but I'll mention Etsy for silk saris and reasonable prices. There's so many wonderful patterns on each individual sari because they have the border portion and the edging portions. I'm so excited to start a project with your tutorial :)
I love using saris! You do have to watch out for the "art silk" (which is short for artificial silk) and I've found some sellers don't know the difference, but I've also gotten some nice cotton sheers at good prices from saris!
I'm sure it won't be a regular "to be played with" doll as she is porcelain, but I imagine she would do well as a nice little parlor toy while the adults are doing some sewing, she would get dressed and undressed on the parlor floor near a fireplace somewhere.
I have a me sized wrapper in that paisley. The fabric is lovely. I have a wonderful friend who gave it to me because I needed a wrapper for an event last minute and she had it in her stash-it's been out of print for years.
I can't find the shop I got it from. But I do know the fabric ID. It's Andover Fabrics, Isabella 7942-NR. I don't see it for sale right now other than 2 yards on Etsy so it must be out of print. :(
There's a lady on Etsy who sells them. They're about $1/needle, so a tad expensive, but I have a huge box of them so I have years worth stored up for myself.

Wonderful! I just need to make my doll and make her a beautiful wrapper
All dollies need a wrapper, I think!
Who ever gets to play with this doll is going to be so lucky, so many pretty things to play dress up with. ❤

Agree with you about the fabric! I like both of them, actually. I’m imagining a me-sized wrapper in the paisley-and-stripes one!

Awe it's beautiful!☺
Thank you so much! I love how it turned out.
❤❤❤
Thank you for the bug in my ear! It worked out perfectly with the wrapper patterns still being so fresh in my head.
Goodness, this lady has some beautiful clothing! I really like the wrapper fabric. Is it historical reproduction quilting cotton? 🧡💙
She has better clothing than I do at this point! But that's the nice things about dolls-you can do the fancy work without a lot of sacrificed time.
I absolutely love that red fabric too! I might need to find some. Would you be willing to share the link for where you got it?

Where would you get replacement sewing machine needles for that antique machine?
