Among all of the characters in the MCU, Black Widow's choreography during fight scenes really makes me hype. It has this "jumpy/fast paced" actions lol makes me wanna beat up some random person xD
The Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff) is a world athlete, gymnast, acrobat, aerialist capable of numerous complex maneuvers and feats, expert martial artist (including Karate, Judo, Jujutsu, Boxing, Aikido, Savate, Ninjutsu, various styles of Kung Fu and Kenpo, marksman, and weapons specialist as well as having extensive espionage training. She is also an accomplished ballerina. Her agility is greater than that of a Olympic gold medalist. She can coordinate her body with balance, flexibility, and dexterity easily.
The Black Widow is the most realistic of all the Marvel characters because shes just skilled in so many things and has conditioned her body to react to everything she endures physically she literally fights grown men twice her size and defeats all of them in less than 10 minutes.
Seriously, Black Widow hits EXTREMELY hard for someone her size.I don't know what body training/muscle hardening exercises the KGB and SHIELD taught her because damn..... She's tiny and not jacked or anything, but has more athleticism, body control, and power than any female MMA fighter.
Remember she was also enhanced to pretty much the peak of human capabilities during the Red Room. So her strength and stamina is beyond that of most of her opponents.
Koroniria Ryder Wait, I'm pretty sure MCU Black Widow doesn't have enhancements like her comic book self. I mean, there's no evidence she was enhanced with anything during Red Room training. Unless of course, it was stated in one the Marvel cable shows.
She was injected with a super serum similar to Cap's during her training, giving her exceptional strength, stamina, improved healing, and significantly slowed her aging process. She is around the same age as Cap, but fabricates her records to help cover her identity. MCU has barely touched on her training or enhancements in the Red Room, or her most infamous missions (Bangladesh, Children's Ward, etc) for that matter. Hopefully they're saving it for her solo film. Then again, she wasn't able to beat Crossbones in Civil War for some reason, whereas in the comics she arguably did. That was a letdown.
Watch the scenes again, she strikes at vulnerable spots. She hits under armpits and in sternums and other weak points. When she throws, she uses inertia and her entire body weight and leverage. She kicks knees and other weaker areas of the body and only strikes regularly when she can get consistant hits in without being retaliated against. Size is a lot in a fight, but if someone can leavrage speed and strength to the weakness of the human form they can be devistating. Whenever she is caught or hit and it's not a glancing blow, ie she has manuevered or moved to not take the full brunt of the attack, that lack of size is evident cause it stops her cold for a little wild. But she has an incredible pain tolerance. All and all I enjoy a character like her who kicks ass despite her size. in fact her size is asset to her combat style.
For people who say that Black Widow is not useful or is a "simple human" She has been trained in more than 5 martial arts, Olympic gymnastics & acrobatics since baby, Wolverine & Winter Soldier was her trainers in the Red Room (in the MCU, only was Bucky), she has an extensive training with weapons, knows more than 6 languages, has an extensive arsenal that when used has consequences to its user, it does not affect, she is an expert hacker & spy, her abilities were boosted by a variant of the super-soldier's serum, which allows her to have enough strength to lift 300 pounds, her speed is not superhuman, but exceeds any sprinter, her reflexes & her agility are at the top, her resistance is improved, is a level 6 superhuman, should not say that it is overrated or useless.
I love how she can make decisions on just a second and then moves on that decision or judgement she has done. She's also smarter than she's given credit for and you can totally see that she has been trained her whole life to fight and think fast to solve a situation.
As far as fight scene choreography goes, that move at 4:45 was a true work of art. She mounted that guy's head, then somehow managed to swing off of his shoulder like a high bar onto the other attacker. I had to rewatch it a few times to appreciate how mind-blowingly awesome that was. Certified badass!

I actually like her relationship to Hawkeye as a brother sister relationship more than lovers. Since Black Widow has some famous lovers in the comics like Daredevil and the Winter Soldier.

it’s very clear how much work marvel put into her fight choreo, if you look at eg birds of prey, most of the fights are just kicks, that’s what most films do for female fighters. But widow has such an intricate fighting style and even though she uses her legs a lot it never fails to look flawless

That's not a plothole just like Hulk flying away in Avengers 2 wasn't. Half of the heroes disappeared without closure by the end of Civil War. Civil War wasn't meant to be the end for anyone other than Captain America. Steve Rogers abandoning the title of Captain America to be specific. The full consequences of the Accords and the airport battle go beyond one film. The MCU isn't over.
Vibranium Shield Hulk dissappeared at the end of the film. He ended his arc in AoU: which was him giving up trying to contain "the other guy" and the Hulk making the choice to leave Natasha behind. Natasha started off a prominent character in Civil War, it was as if she was the mediator for a moment cos she sided with Tony due to tactical reasons but sided with cap for friendship reasons. And then by the beginning of the third act of the movie her role suddenly decreased by screentime (she kinda dissappeared from the airport battle scene and didnt show up til the end) and then the next scene she had an argument with Tony and she's gone. I was hoping for at least 30 sec of screentime that showed her actually leaving or something. It's just a pet peeve I have over the movie. Natasha didn't end her arc. She just dissappeared.
I love her so much - flawed, female, formidable. And a goddamn delight to watch. I would pay in gold coins to see an R-Rated Black Widow standalone from her torturous training in Russia to her defection to SHIELD.
What makes Black Widow’s combat believable is not just brute strength. She uses the area around her, weapons, and submissions, like how a former Red Room trainee would. I love her fighting styles.
I think about the amazing stunt artist here. Her hurricanranas( leg wrap flip move) are actually done properly as opposed to many movies and TV series showing a bit out of line. Especially The Arrow TV series in which Oliver queen does it twice but not very properly

Watching Agents of Shield.. you can see how much work they put into making the fight style of the agents match up.. you can tell that Melinda, Bobbi and Quake all were trained in the same organization as Widow. Awesome.

I loved what they did to her in CATWS but hated what they did in Civil War. She was a gaping plothole. She suddenly like, just randomly dissappeared without any closure. Wtf was that russo
That's not a plothole just like Hulk flying away in Avengers 2 wasn't. Half of the heroes disappeared without closure by the end of Civil War. Civil War wasn't meant to be the end for anyone other than Captain America. Steve Rogers abandoning the title of Captain America to be specific. The full consequences of the Accords and the airport battle go beyond one film. The MCU isn't over.

Vibranium Shield Hulk dissappeared at the end of the film. He ended his arc in AoU: which was him giving up trying to contain "the other guy" and the Hulk making the choice to leave Natasha behind. Natasha started off a prominent character in Civil War, it was as if she was the mediator for a moment cos she sided with Tony due to tactical reasons but sided with cap for friendship reasons. And then by the beginning of the third act of the movie her role suddenly decreased by screentime (she kinda dissappeared from the airport battle scene and didnt show up til the end) and then the next scene she had an argument with Tony and she's gone. I was hoping for at least 30 sec of screentime that showed her actually leaving or something. It's just a pet peeve I have over the movie. Natasha didn't end her arc. She just dissappeared.

I love her so much - flawed, female, formidable. And a goddamn delight to watch. I would pay in gold coins to see an R-Rated Black Widow standalone from her torturous training in Russia to her defection to SHIELD.

What makes Black Widow’s combat believable is not just brute strength. She uses the area around her, weapons, and submissions, like how a former Red Room trainee would. I love her fighting styles.

Every time Natasha does that flip on Happy,I laugh. I don't know why,but it's strangely hilarious.
I think about the amazing stunt artist here. Her hurricanranas( leg wrap flip move) are actually done properly as opposed to many movies and TV series showing a bit out of line. Especially The Arrow TV series in which Oliver queen does it twice but not very properly
the leg scissors thing is freaking amazing, even when she does it so many times but it still looks so good in her fight scene

Watching Agents of Shield.. you can see how much work they put into making the fight style of the agents match up.. you can tell that Melinda, Bobbi and Quake all were trained in the same organization as Widow. Awesome.
