You should know that Jain Kim is only 153cm tall.
And she shows hight doesn’t matter
She does have a big ape index to make up for it and big hands which is great for a climber.

Jain kim's style is beautiful... but Janja...there is so much raw talent there. so much untapped strength. kims climbing is pure art. but janja is scary, she is fascinating
Aggree, but there is a difference on their approach for climbing too.. Jain is much more individual..like she is alone in the wall and no one watches her..plus janja got 1.64m height while jain has 1.53m.. that makes a bit of a difference too for sure... but anyway, i adore both of them..and janja will be no 1 for a long time because she is natural problem solver
I'm new to climbing, so i can't really tell whats technical or not, but when i watch Kim, i see a charmeleon or a sloth, very natural, precise and energy proficient. Janja reminds me of a child, fearless, strong and stubborn. Needless to say, both are brilliant, but i enjoy watching Ja-in Kim the most.
Kim Jain is one of my favorite sport climbers, and the type of climber I aspire to be -- clean, precise, calm, elegant, yet strong and powerful. Janja is a great climber as well. she's so young yet has so much talent and strength. I've been waiting for Ashima to be old enough to participate in the World Cups to see Ashima vs. Janja.
But I have to say, height plays a huge advantage. for example, in the finals of villars, Kim Jain fell bc her hand position wasn't optimal at the sloper, but she also lost her footing bc of her height. it's extremely difficult to have good control with a sloper especially when you lose control of your foot whereas janja had full control of her feet at the sloper due to the height advantage. this isn't to say that Janja isn't a good climber because she's actually amazing, but it's not really fair to compare I suppose.
Wow even though Janjas style seems rushed some times she still climbs so well. I was very suprised how close her technique came to Jain Kims. Additionally she can make up the flaws with power. She really seems to hover sometimes just holding herself on two crimps.
I think that is what takes her ahead of all lead climbers at the moment if she ceeps her strength and tweaks her technique some more there won't be many competitors at her level.
Always amazes me the level of endurance and power these two athletes have, and its unreal how good Jania has become at 18 years old, Jain is one of the nicest people you could imagine to meet, one of the best overall climbers in the world with phenomenal amount of power to weight ratio, endurance, pure natural talent, gracious at climbing, silk smooth climbing style and many many years of hard training with the trophies & medals she deserves so much.
Janja climbing style seems to be similar to Adam Ondra - fast ,precise and very technical

I know Janja is brilliant, but Kim Jain has exquisite technique, beautiful and inspiring to watch, she is my climbing icon - no wasted energy -never seen better - I agree with others , its surprising how similar their moves are in this excellent comparison - but Kim is more controlled and precise - she also wears that ace bow in the hair!!
interesting how Janja was faster first video but Jain in the second. Phenomenal matchup.
great videos. i don't mind the pausing, but the huge pausing symbol is quite distracting. but good side by side comparison =)
Incredible climbers! Both making it look easy and effortless. Jain's technique is wonderful, smooth and her body just flows, always keeping a straight arm etc. Janja however climbs at a higher pace and doesn't look as relaxed as Jain does, but she has so much power and doesn't waste time on the wall. Also look out for Ashima! :D
Jain just lack of height
Along with miho nonaka and Ashima these are my favorite female climbers...Their combination of strength, flexibility and gracefulness is inspiring✌🏽😃✌🏽
You should put the pause icon on the side of the climber (top left or right?).
Don't forget something ; Janja is tallest than Jain so , for a lot of moves they use differents
styles .

both are amazing, Jain seems to need more technique where high steps are not involved or she lacks grip strength? I feel like she can do it but just needs something

janja definitely the olympic champion, top lead AND bouldering, and she's still probably getting better. she could probably skip the speed and still win LOL

Thank you for your feedback. I just wanted to show, how Janja was fast in WC 2017. But yes, I definitely can do next one with no pausing.
I like the pausing.If you do it without pausing the climbers would not be synchronized, then the esence of the video will be lost and it will look like any other climbing video.It will look better with a small pausing symbol in the corner, better than in the centre of the screen, to let us see the climber at all times. I love your videos. Keep the good work.
