This is something people really need to research and think about.. While all tiny puppies are "cute", so many of the people that breed them down in size are in it purely for the money, and are producing very unhealthy pups, that will go on to have many health problems in life. You should never breed one tiny runt to another-- and this is happening so much. Most of these breeds were never meant to fit in a "t cup"-- please consult the AKC guidelines on what a breed should be before paying thousands for a puppy.

Exactly as a groomer we got so many of these dogs in and they either had both sex organs, respiratory disease or some type of deformity or not weighing enough to get vaccines so they wind up getting sick and dying

I have to say AMEN to everything you said. I used to be a registered AKC Shih Tzu breeder and as a responsible breeder I can say this video sickens me. These so called “Tea Cup” puppies are nothing more than puppy mill puppies. The miniature Greyhound was a perfect example if you paid attention. It’s shoulders & knees on the front were hyperextended. This poor dog will be completely unable to walk in a very short time. I’m just SMH.

Especially tiny Teacup dogs are usually bred in a way that is unhealthy. Especially tiny “teacup” dogs are more prone to medical issues such as hypoglycemia, heart defects, collapsing trachea, seizures, respiratory problems, and blindness, dental/gum issues, and liver problems (requiring shunts.) Yes, many dogs are already at risk of these, but teacups are often created by breeding runts, and runts are often runts because of health issues. You may get a healthy teacup, but they are in general, more prone to injury and health defects due to their size and how that size is created.

Exactly, and the Greyhound doesn’t look healthy. Most of the dog breeds are already small to begin with but the Greyhound almost looks sick, poor little thing, the Lab mix surprisingly looks okay
100% Exactly what I wished to convey. These teacup, long, short etc. and all brachycephalic breeds are not natural. They have been bred by us through generations and the being suffers living in that body. That is like a *living hell* we are giving them. Never supported it 🙏 Have been adopting local landrace from the streets since generations. We have local dogs on the subcontinent that have *naturally evolved* and have not been extensively selectively bred. These hounds and dogs stay for like 15 - 20 years, similar to the Israeli Canaan Dog - An ancient breed. Always have trust in older breeds when it comes to genetics and health. We never "selectively" breed anything - leave it to Mother Nature to take care of 🙏It has been well researched now that if you selectively breed hippos from the wild and tame/domesticate them, their domesticated versions wouldn't match their wild versions at all. That means you have taken something from their qualities of survival and endurance. A bear in the wild can stand it's own. With humans through generations - they begin depending on you and that's it....... you created a being with removed qualities of independence. Then whatever happens to that being is your responsibility. But I agree why humans did what they did centuries prior to horses, cattle, cats , dogs etc. *but they naturally evolved with humans over millenia !* We aren't giving these selectively bred any time. They are sudden mutations.

Got my miniature Yorker as an adult dog weighed 3.3 pounds. VET checked as soon as we got her, No health problems. Now she is 17 blind and deaf. Still no health problems. We have to keep everything in the same place and watch for her, but she manages without much help.

miniature yorkie is not the same thing as what you are seeing here. These are miniature teacups, as in smaller than a teacup, bred by irresponsible breeders for the sole purpose of making money off their cuteness. Their lifespans are about 6 years. Sad.

I have my second miniature Papillon. She is now seven years old and still kicking butt and taking names later. She is my rock and I love her so much. I can’t imagine my life without her. She had no health problems and she weighs 9 pounds!😊

Who in the hell would want dog's soo small that could so very easily be hurt by accidentally stepping on it,or not seeing it and kicking it in the process of walking? Those dog's, while so cute, are soo fragile at the same time.
I put little bells on her ID tags on my Yorkie to click loud enough around her neck that I hear her when she walks & runs so no one steps on her.

I am so sorry that I missed the live stream due to my work. But now I have watched the Video. All these puppies are so unbelievable cute, adorable and lovely. But I have mixed feelings about breeding. For me it is not okay, if the health and the life age of the dogs is in danger. For me it would be great if there were more adoptions from shelters, as they are so many homeless animals. However all these puppies are so unbelievable cute, adorable and beautiful. They're cute but I'm worried about health care and stuff and I get so attached to dogs quickly I don't want to have my heart broken
I don't know how these little tiny dogs were able to survive and adapt all these thousands of years without being eliminated by predators but I'm sure grateful.

I used to have a miniature Pomeranian, and a toy Pom. I loved those pets, and miss them, but I really regret having purshased them to this day. The smaller you downsize those pets, the less lifespan they have. Now I have a throw back Pom to his original size and he is healthy, happy, and will not die young.
Love to look at these sweet dogs but I go back to the millions of great dogs looking for a home in animal shelter who will die because no one wants them so sad!!!
Makes me want all of them they will brighten up my day

True, and most likely the runts of their litters. Inbreeding and health issues are common as well. This vid is very deceptive. I mean, our toy poodle was a runt and no bigger than what they are calling teacups here. She grew into a healthy full size toy nonetheless. 😉
I've always heard that these tiny dogs have alot of health issues. But they are adorable. I'd be afraid at my house it would get stepped on. That would be so awful.

Not all dogs get sick. If you read about the breed diseases at for exemple AKC and then decide for a breed mix in where the breeds dont have issues due to of the anatomy that will lead to sickness.

Adoro animais. Tive minha Nina,na minha companhia por dezenove anos e meio. Era mestiça de poodle com maltês. Foi um amor verdadeiramente incondicional. Para os veterinários ela ultrapassou o limite médio de idade. Reluto em pegar outra cadelinha. Babei com esses exemplares mini, porém tenho medo por serem tão pequenos seja frágeis e vulneráveis a acidentes. Continuo amando minha Nina mesmo distante.
