I buy a lot of Hipa carbs. They work as well as OEM carbs

It’s a little more work but I’ve found out it’s best to replace the intake manifold gasket also and I make my gasket from felpro material The old gasket just is rotten and leaking
Could you have used the bowl nut from the old carburetor and saved the new fuel solenoid for future use? Good video.
I could have likely done that as long as it was the same depth.
