If you do a lot of motorway journeys, diesel is your answer. Commuting in town and short journeys, this is the answer definitely.

If town and short journeys why is hybrid or petrol better then diesel ?

Thanks for this informative video. Does the battery get actively charged when the petrol engine is running like a Toyota Lexus product? Thanks

In e save mode, it will run like a Toyota, in normal hybrid mode, it will prioritize electricity because it's a plug in hybrid, it assumes you will top-up the battery whenever you have the chance.

This seems like the lower-spec C350e..
The one I currently own has a more advanced headlight and a larger screen.

Looking at used Mercedes estate but still can't decide if it's worth going for a Hybrid or diesel. I know all cars lose money but really want to lessen it if poss. Arghh, decisions.

If you do a lot of miles go for a diesel. If you drive around town a lot get the hybrid.

hi there, we don’t have this car anymore but as long as you keep it charged you’ll save a fair amount on fuel. If you’re in the uk many supermarkets now have free 7kw chargers so when you do your shop you can top up your battery completely free of charge.

@@ParagonCarsLondon that’s incorrect. Mercedes’ quotes around 19miles on pure electric. Car usually reads 13 miles. I’m lucky to get 6 miles in real world. Depends heavily on the temperature outside though.

@@kofiAnkraAsareAttrams sorry yes 19 miles is correct for this model. That realistic range does sound low though, we’ve had quite a few of these and have definitely done more than 14 miles on a single charge. Were you driving on the motorway?

    Hi
My husband bought this car for me . It's not premium. It's fab my first time Mercedes !! I just think it takes a bit of petrol? I am not sure if I can only drive on the battery or if I should leave it at Hybrid settinhs which I think it is in . Can you help please
    Thank you Monika
Ps. I was driving Volgswagen Passat TSI 1.4 before .

    • @ParagonCarsLondon
      @ParagonCarsLondon  3 ปีที่แล้ว

There's a button in the centre console that allows you to change between your hybrid settings. You will also have a charging port on the rear bumper of the car to charge the batteries with. You can just put petrol in, but then you won't getting the best Miles per Gallon. Hope this helps.

      @@ParagonCarsLondon hello
My apologies for late answer . Thank you very much . I think it is in hybrid mode . I am using the eco while driving in the village , comfort between villages , sport while on motorway . It is charging it self when I drive it in the morway. I plug it in every week at the charging station for 2 hours . The last time I got 14 miles of the charge . Would that be normal ?
Ps: people are annoying me . I already have dint in it from someone who parked next to me . I try to park away from other cars . Yesterday my neighbor tried to fit her bin one inch from my i thought I will go mad . She always targets my car no matter what I have !!
