Worst Card as a category? Man, this Yearbook Committee is harsh on the "students."
This was a great format and definitely will look forward to other classes getting the same treatment.
Probably not practical but I'd like to see a few more cards in each category or where appropriate a level 0 and a Level 1-5 option.
Carolyn is very guardian despite not using weapons. Medics generally feel more guardian than seeker
I don't know that I've ever felt more powerful than Runic Axe Mark Harrigan. Since Runic Axe is the only weapon you need, you can fill your deck with healing and skill cards and basically promise of power any skill test with neutrals plus Sophie. Plus you get to draw a total of 2 cards if you succeed. Then you also get to do dumb 5 fist Runic axe shenanigans.

At the UK games expo we won a scenario with dynamite blast. My friend had an exploding goat Yorick deck and I chucked the dynamite into his location. He put his damage on the goat which also exploded and finished off the boss. It was a very good time.
I will die on the hill that Relentless is good in Yorick. For me it's a one-off auto-include. It's easy to get in the discard pile with short supply or through commit. It's slotless and costless so there is never a bad time to kill something because "you won't get to proc your ability". It makes overkill not feel wasteful as it just means you'll have more resources to repurchase the weapon who's ammo you "wasted".
So basically it doesn't cost actions, it doesn't cost resources, it doesn't take a slot, it has decent icons, it makes sure overkill isn't wasted and it makes sure kills at low econ aren't wasted. It also has amazing synergy with fire axe.
It's never gonna carry, but it basically unlocks this zero-waste play-style where every awkward decision has a consolation prize.
Hmm yeah I see the logic behind running it for Yorick yeah.
Might sometimes waste ammo overkilling, but get resources, Yorick gets the weapon back, pays for it with the resources from Relentless.
Thus Relentless becomes more like a card to recover some waste from overkilling with a weapon with ammo/charges, when you need the weapon's +Combat skill but you don't need the +Damage.
Will keep this in mind for Yorick.
I freaking love this yearbook concept!! But lol, embarrassingly enough when when I got to the best Guardian Investigator, I was like, where's Tony!? 😂 Absolutely loving Guardian Week!

I’d love to see a Relentless upgrade (lvl 1?) that just immediately gave you the overkill as resources. Mark wouldn’t upgrade it but otherwise it might be playable economy

Had Relentless in my Daniella deck for Scarlet Keys.. had got it in play most scenarios and never hit hard enough to get anything on it 😅😪
On the flip side, it was the first campaign where Prepared for the Worst actually found a weapon., and reliability found her Runic Axe 🤷🏻♂️
I hope you didn't upgrade your Runic Axe in Daniella
Mark is still the GOAT guardian for me just because if I had to go into a campaign blind and was told I have to win it, Mark would be one of the first investigators I consider bringing because he's just never going to be bad.
My old reliable would be a toss up between enchant weapon and reliable 😂
Cyclopean Hammer succeed by 3 is only for non-Elite?

The damage is elite or non-Elite, the move distance is only for non-Elite.
What outclasses prepared for the worst? Without backpack 2 (which doesn’t exist) and tetsuo (which I don’t have) what is better?
@@nickm9180 More weapon options that aren't Knife or Trench Knife.
What would make Relentless worth it? Does it just need to be fast? Fast and draw a card when played? Double the resources gained? 🤔
I think the thing is, excess damage is something you usually never want to go out of your way to do, so it would have to have a bigger payoff than just resources. Maybe if instead of having to discard it, it just gave you the resources right away? And/or let you draw cards as well?
Or if when discarded, the excess damage saved on the card could just be used to give out damage (instead of resources) This would help incentivize excess damage since it could just be used later. But then thematically, the name/artwork wouldn’t make much sense lol And plus, maybe this idea already exists in some other card.
