It actually reminded me more of Pinocchio, but yes, with a bit of Frankenstein too. Dad made her, naive character in the beginning, she left him to get into a crazy adventure, and returned more like a real woman/human in the end. You can say Paris is like Pleasure Island in Pinocchio, and she also did a lot of sea travel, like Pinocchio did. Weird movie, I don't love or hate it, Emma Stone is quite brave to play the role, the weakest part for me is that sometimes the background, like the sea, can look like a cheap cgi, it kinda reminded me of Windows Screensavers, lol.
