    Absolutely horrific. He should get a whole life sentence without the possibility of parole. I cannot begin to imagine what Sarah’s family have gone and are going through, their lives will never be the same because of this monster who was supposed to serve and protect the public, truly evil.

      it just makes you ask the question, what are peoples motives to choose an occupation that gets them legally close to their target, and by that I mean an occupation such as a religious preacher for example, and there must be many other occupations people can think of.

    It was discovered in the US that there was an upper limit on IQ for recruitment. Higher IQ people will question situations, they don't suffer from the Dunning-Kruger effect.
    The authorities want people who will obey without question, who lack empathy, have domineering personalities, cannot see context or consequences and who get a kick from being given authority over others.
    This is where it leads.

      Utter drivel. I know this is a very serious situation but your kind of thinking lies at the very heart of the problem. This has NOTHING to do with IQ's. The most senior and most wicked Nazi's who did all the killing and lacked empathy on a grand scale , people like Heydrich etc etc , all had sky high IQ's. Heydrich was brought to tears by Classical Music. He was a sophisticated and "cultured" member of the upper classes. Yet. Britain's most prolific killer Harold Shipman was a DOCTOR !!!. No low IQ's in the medical profession. Shipman got a HUGE kick out of having the power of life or death over others. The people with the lowest 'moral quotients' and the least empathy around are all people like top bankers , venture capitalists , estate agents etc etc . No low IQ's in those professions. People with the highest IQ's suffer more than any other group from the Dunning Kruger effect because they have become accustomed to believing that they do in fact understand situations. When in fact nobody does. Someone with a lower IQ would be suspicious of things because he is aware that other people are smarter than him or her. Not onto the 'obeying' bit. Do you think that this piece of shit had an 'obedient' bone in his body ?.Really ? Leaving aside the murder he broke dozens and dozens of rules along the way to this murder. Along with exposing himself to others. We live in a society where NOBODY is allowed to question anything. You don't and neither do I . And we both know why. We have built our own dungeons and we are our own prisoners. And jailers.

      @@JohnJones-ct9pr Agree with your post, Intelligence and the self perception of it, is surely a factor with regard to acting out crimes like this and others you mentioned in your post. I haven't read about the dunning kruger effect . I am guessing the killer of Sarah Everard thought he was smart enough to evade detection until it dawned on him that he had left a clear trail to his front door. He certainly knew his defence/denial was hopeless . Again this suggests intelligence and perhaps a climbdown from his initial self regard. To me, this brings up the question of ...if he ought to be in jail forever/redeemable /or hanged?

    • @JohnJones-ct9pr
      @JohnJones-ct9pr 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@stuross8190 Thank you Stu Ross. As far as I am concerned he should never see the light of day again. If you or I steal a watch there can be rehabilitation from that. Burglars can rehabilitated, Robbers can be rehabilitated. So many things can be rehabilitated. But some things cannot. If one puts oneself in the shoes of a drug addict one can understand why that person would steal. If one put's oneself in the shoes of a fraudster even , one can understand the lure of easy money and even those people can eventually be rehabilitated by learning the value of hard work and the self respect that goes with that. But what couzens did is so utterly beyond comprehension that it is beyond rehabilitation. How does one fathom the evil that was in that man ? in order to treat a disease a doctor must first understand it. In the case of a drug addict or someone who is a serial shoplifter professionals can treat these things. But how does one treat something so evil that nobody rationally explain it ? Like say I walked into the doctors office with a carrot growing out of the top of my head ?.The doctor would not know where to start . How on earth can anyone ever guarantee that what ever impulse deep within his wicked soul prompted him to do what he did would not suddenly resurface ?. I don't believe such a guarantee is possible. So I would say at least life ( until death ) behind bars. Ideally ( and I know this is no longer possible in this country ) I would like to see him executed.

    Last year I reported a crime to the police- the educated officer was ok but leaving the force- he had had enough if it all he told me. Off the record he said that they probably won't bother interviewing the accused because "it's too far away for them to travel (after they had moved out of town) and maybe they would be out so don't want to spend the time driving up there".
    Then after a few months waiting with no updates a new police officer took the case- arriving at my house unnanounced covered in tatoos talking like del boy and reported "we are not going to investigate and we think you made it up and are thinking of charging you with perverting the course of justice" I said - I don't suppose it is because you can't be bothered to investigate and so are blaiming me the victim as the criminal? Totally corrupt- no wonder non detection rates are almost 99%- what is the point? All my evidence was substantive prima facie evidence ( I was a law lecturer) but they threw it back on me rather than investigate. I have a hunch that my case was solid and they did not want to put the hours in so put the blame on me.

    I wonder if the internet has some blame, where when dangerous men have injunctions taken against them, they then go online to be abusive about women? Like those men who make ytube videos saying they don't want women, but instead of leaving women alone, they spend their time on the video comments trying to make women feel bad and promoting others abuse women.

      Its a good question asking about the internet, but the internet was not always here its a very recent invention, for example it was not around when jack the ripper was around or the Yorkshire ripper, or the moors murderers it must be a mentality that goes back to the dawn of time. The internet I think is just another tool to use. I am old enough to remember stories about poison pen letters, and heavy breathing phone calls.

I looked at the man's face, and his eyes are really telling...I'm convinced that when a man behaves as this one does, His face reflects the depravity, and it does... I hope his wife changes her name cleanses herself of all association with this horrible man...

    So heartbreaking. Regarding the 'typicality' of Couzens as a PC and police mentality, let us not forget that a peaceful vigil for Sarah, who was raped, murdered and disposed of like a piece of fly-tipped trash by a police officer, attended mostly by woman on International Women's Day was attacked by the police under the command of a police woman boss. The police sicken me, and the CCTV footage of Sarah's final moments breaks my heart.

Pretty much all consists of demoralising humans, devaluing those that participate as well as those that watch. It’s an industry based on the desperation of the human soul because it has either fallen into drugs or financial difficulty or both, or against the will of that soul because it has been trafficked or coerced into the industry. Wayne Couzens was on Lockdown Patrols and understood the rules in what to say to those who were suspected of flouting them. In fact, the Covid laws were badly enacted and rushed through parliament and so vague that people didn’t understand the rules. Still police fined and arrested people for doing normal things like leaving home, walking, going to work and even drinking coffee. Sarah Everard was snared by Wayne Couzens who used the COVID laws to arrest her then rape and kill her. In short it’s the government who’s ultimately responsible because they gave police emergency powers and didn’t care when they overreached in arresting and fining people going about their lives.

    *Monsters are lurking EVERYWHERE. Not just in the Metropolitan Police or other police forces in the UK. They are everywhere. In November 1987, my then girlfriend, who was an undergraduate at North Staffordshire Polytechnic in England, was brutally raped by a fellow student. She had gone into the ladies toilet in the gymnasium on campus (at around 4 pm) and as she was about to come out of the toilet, she was pounced upon by someone whom she did not know. Later that night, she phoned me (I was attending a university in London at the time), sobbing hysterically and explained what had happened. I strongly urged her to call her parents and the Police. She told me that she could not do so as she was embarrassed about what had happened to her and wanted to keep the whole thing quiet. She also swore me to secrecy. Two weeks later, during a break, I visited my girlfriend (she lived in a hall of residence on campus) and I became aware straight away that she was not her usual cheery self but had become sullen and depressed. I again advised her to tell her parents and the Police. Again, she refused.*

    *A few weeks later, my ex-girlfriend saw her rapist in the polytechnic's Students' Union bar. She immediately walked out of the bar and phoned her best friend, who was also a student at North Staffordshire Polytechnic. Her friend quickly made her way to the bar and the two waited outside the bar (but at a safe distance), waiting for the rapist to come out. When he did, the two young ladies followed him, discreetly. They followed him into one of the halls of residence on campus (NOT the one my ex-GF lived at), at all times maintaining a safe distance from him. They watched the rapist get into a lift. As he did so, another resident existed the same lift and said to the rapist **_"How's it going?"._** My ex-girlfriend's best friend asked this male resident if he and the rapist were friends (she did NOT tell him why she was asking him this question.) The male resident said "yes" and that the rapist lived on the same floor as him. She then asked him what the rapist's name was and what course he was studying for and what year he was in, and the male resident told her. At this point, the women left the rapist's hall of residence and headed back to my ex-GF's own hall of residence.*
    *My ex-GF then phoned me (I was in London) and informed me that she now knew her rapist's identity. She told me that her attacker's name was **_Andrew David Webb_** and that he was in his second year at North Staffordshire Polytechnic. (I unfortunately do not remember what course the rapist was doing -- all this happened more than 30 years ago!) Given that he was in his second year, my guess is that the rapist was born possibly in 1968. I knew better than to ask my ex-GF to go to the Police, given that she had, on two separate occasions, turned down my request for her to do so. I asked her to take care of herself and to phone me, night or day, if she needed to. She thanked me and the conversation ended there. This was 34 years ago. (North Staffordshire Polytechnic is today known as Staffordshire University.)*
    *Ladies, remember, you cannot trust ANYONE, including the Police. You are on your own. There are sexual predators EVERYWHERE. That is an inescapable reality. Just watch your back and use your head. That is all you can do.*

  • @RicJG7
    @RicJG7 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is what it can lead to if sexual desires are not brought under control. We are all imperfect and may have some particular leaning.
    He allowed his mind to dwell on this desire but if he'd controlled his mind and forced those thoughts out as soon as they came into his mind, he'd have never committed this crime.
    They became stronger and more vivid over time to the point where his desire became so strong that it moved him to act.
    They most likely fermented and matured for years before finally becoming real. It might feel like you would never carry out those thoughts but give it a few years, a few decades of dwelling on it and analyse that again.
    It's much easier to get rid of them early, as soon as they come into the mind than when they have become ingrained and God forbid, part of your personality
    It goes for those who get turned on by young children, it all starts in the mind and it's important to reject these thoughts to protect yourself and others from the results of these thoughts if they were to turn into reality
