I had to post this. I've been watching your videos for a while now, and would like to say what a great father you are! I remember my dad taking me fishing when I was 10, and the only thing I remember was him berating me for holding the rod wrong. I'm 68 yrs old now and that is my only recollection of a bad fishing experience. Yay for good fathers!!

Funny you got that goldfish, I snagged a monster goldfish (common carp) about like that on a lipless last week! Edit: And not that you would do this around this time of year, but a topwater how to type video would be cool. Poppers, spooks, etc.

I recommend a CP Swing. I use it every single time I fish because it never lets me down. Anything from a size #1-5 blade (#4 is my favorite). It's a fish slayer!!! Good luck!
Never would have guessed someone would catch a goldfish on a crank bait. I like seeing you fish these golf course ponds. On the rare occasion I golf I am always distracted by the ponds, because I would rather be fishing!
Here's a fun idea, take 5-10 lures you've either never used or hate and don't use and destroy them in a exciting way, lol. Then take the pieces and glue something together. Best of luck!

Zoom plastic worm. Utail. I'm from Georgia. It's a very come lure to bass fish with. However, very few TH-camrs actually fish them. They're great lures. You can fish them Texas rig. Carolina rig. Drop shot. Weightless. Anyway you want.

Awesome video, glad to see your sharing the best sport on the planet with your son. My favorite lure of all time is a 1/8th oz. black rooster tail. Of course you are using bait caster so maybe step it up to a 1/4 oz. but give it a whirl. I always catch fish on it usually when they aren't biting on anything else and just about anytime of year. White is good too.
Try using something that's not actually a lure? Like a bottle cap, can/bottle opener, part of a bungee cord? Something you have under your truck seat or in the glove box? Probably have to put it on a jig or supply a real hook. Still, you catch a fish with a bottle cap and you're a hero.

Shows what persistence can do! I limited out on crappie Sunday, 40 degree water in the 20's windchill in Ramsey IL... It would have been easy to quit but stayed at it 4 hours, found them deep (Finally) and limited out! Great video as always, but dare I say it??? Dare I? No drone shots??? I agree with another subscriber in here. Do a 5 uncommon baits challenge. Turtle, the Bat, the Duck, etc. Or any uncommon baits of choosing 👌👌👌!

When its cold, fish near tunnels or springs, water near these spots are warmer. We call Gold Fish "Golden Orfe" in the wild
My favorite set up is a watermelon seed fluke on a Texas rig. I feel like it's a great go to set up almost any time down here. Give it a shot!
