Randy and Nicole were both wrong. If Carmela needed help, she would have asked for it. You just don't take over another consultant's appt. But Carmela should have been more discreet and not said anything in front of the bride.
Randy, you screwed the pooch when you placed your ego boost above Carmel’s well being. You could have handed her your suggested without interposing yourself into Carmel’s appointment!
thank god, somebody sane. actually i can't think of a clip involving this consultant that randy HASN'T butted in on so HE could be the one to pull the dress because HE knows just the right dress for whatever she wants... i'm surprised to see randy being so egotistical and sniping this consultant's appointments like this. the last one he did it on he even made a big circus about grabbing a (completely inappropriate) dress from *another bride* and doing it *repeatedly* because he was so determined to prove that the dress he thought of was the one she would buy.
I am very disappointed in Randy. He totally took over Carmels appointment. I am sure she would not do to Randy what he did to her. It was very childish and if had of been the bride I would not have been happy. He needs to apologise to Carmel.
I also think that Randy should have not got involved he's been there long enough to know the rules and if Carmen wanted help she would have asked for it
Honestly, Carmel absolutely shouldn't have had the argument in front of the bride, but at the same time, it's pretty inappropriate in the same breath for Randy to have swooped in when she didn't need help yet and snipe the commission.
They say at the end that Carmel gets the commission not Randy. I think its more that he swoops in on the appointments that are being recorded, he wants screen time. This could also be instigated by the filming team and director. You have to remember this is a TV show, and many people in the past on these types of shows have stated that drama like this is often staged. A director will come over and tell Randy what type of bride it is and suggest that he swoops in, they will not always clue the other consultant in and then they are taken aback that their appointment was hijacked. I doubt he does this for most appointments, but its TV so it makes good "drama". That and producers/directors have a tendency to splice interviews and footage together in a way to make things more dramatic and intense than what actually happened, so keep that in mind.
@@jennifernordhoff6478 I was going to refer you to this clip here at 7:30 but you are right, I misheard him. The original consultant (Carmel) gets the commission anyway. The way he worded it, I thought the consultant that FOUND the dress got the commission lmao. That's very much my bad. It was still rude of him to intrude on a consultation without being asked though.
@@LouiseEirwen Yeah, I just misunderstood because I forgot that Randy is technically a Fashion Director, and NOT a Consultant. So I don't think he even makes commissions at all.
Randy was WRONG! So was Nicole who was just another person in the mix. They should not have stepped in and had contact with the bride. They should have suggested the dress to Carmel and let her bring it in. One consultant is quite enough. That being said, Carmel should have spoken to Randy and Nicole outside the hearing of the bride. It's cringeworthy to air a grievance in front of the customer. If all Randy was interested in was picking the dress, he did not have to jump in and take credit in front of the bride. It was a hijack, plain and simple. It doesn't matter who gets the commission. You have to show trust in your staff. Otherwise, why hire them?
Randy and the sales manager were the ones that acted totally inappropriately and should have minded their own business unless asked for help. It must be frustrating to have someone that butts into your appointment without being asked. I’m sure they are paid on commission which makes it even more inappropriate for Randy and the sales manager to try and walk into the dressing room with dresses and takeover an appointment. It makes the bridal consultant look incompetent in front of the bride. If the bridal consultant is new allow her the chance to “spread her wings” and get some experience under her belt without the two butt-in-skis. As we have seen in other episodes Randy doesn’t have the monopoly on what a bride wants each and every time. Looks like new bridal consultant is being ganged up on and should probably look for another job where there are not so many hens in the hen house.
"whatever that is" how condescending Randy. You know you've heard of Wicca before. Though I am a little unsure of what fairies in Wicca have to do with each other. I think it was Randy and Nicole that were inappropriate crashing into the other girls appointment.
Can't believe Randy and Nicole hijacked that appointment like that! Way to undermine your consultant! I'd have been demoralised. Edit: I'm really hating Randy now. Disgusting way to treat your staff. Why did he do it??
Like I said to another, it was likely staged, you have to remember this is a TV show and they create drama. The producer/director and film team likely came to him and wanted him to hijack it for drama and views. Even the argument may have been staged. I seriously doubt Randy does this regularly, it seems more like the filming crew instigate these things. Its a common problem in these types of shows and "reality shows" that people have reported on in the past. Things like American's top model and thing all these song competition ones, usually if there is drama the producers and film crew are the ones suggesting something, setting it up, and then filming it. Usually not everyone is clued into it either, its a big ole production circus.
@@LouiseEirwen You're 100% correct. The producer/director/film crew, etc. create as much drama as possible on shows like this. I used to watch a "reality" car racing show (sure everyone knows which one I'm talking about). When one of the main characters (and one of the most popular characters) left the show, there were a lot of reasons given for his departure. I found a TH-cam video the person had made explaining the REAL reason he left. He stated that the producers wanted to set up a scene one way (adding drama) and the racers didn't want to do it. The producers more or less said you HAVE to do it the way we say because of the contracts/documents you signed. I haven't watched the show again. I find it hard to watch these shows for the simple reason you don't really know what's real and what has been staged. I don't understand why producers think they have to create drama to have a good show.
@@LouiseEirwen That's a good point. Someone else said this episode actually happened 14 years ago! So maybe Randy and Nicole hated it too and that's why this hasn't happened again. I just couldn't believe they could be so cruel.
Honestly, when they kept butting in, I would have just said that I quit since clearly ego is more important than the bride. Love Randy, but he needs to stop getting in the middle and making sure his dress is the pick.
As much as he is such a nice guy in most of these videos in this video he came across as narcissistic in the sense that he just had to be the one to get the dress. It really wasn’t about making someone happy or really helping it was about himself in this video and getting the credit and was really off putting to do that to that consultant.
as a bride I would have walked out. Having them compete would put too much pressure. He COULD have presented the dresses outside the room and let Carmel bring them in. Stand back and listen to her feedback and go get more dresses, all while letting Carmel take the lead. Find it funny that "airing dirty laundry" in front of client is inappropriate but steam rolling over the appt is NOT.
We dont know whsts gone on before this. Maybe with Carmel being new, she hadnt made many sales. I dont see rudeness from Randy and Nicole. Carmel does come over as a little conceited. She got the commission in the end so was happy

Wicca is not witchcraft... They are not the same... Being Wiccan is her religion... just like saying she is a Christian/Catholic/Protestant/Muslim/Hindi/Jewish/Buddhist etc etc

Boy… reading through the comments regarding this appointment just blows my mind. While Carmell didn’t ask for the help, any help in such an environment, asked for or not, should be looked at as team work. At the end it was obvious that Carmell appreciated the assistance. As Randy said, the consultant gets the commission regardless of who finds the Brides dress.
