Well to be fair a lot of the tek scene died in early 2008 as hardstyle and hardcore gained steam tek died off while mark with a k was able to stay on top of the change many either drowned or faded into hardcore or hardstyle
Tekstyle can be really cool. But for some reason it just feels... Empty. Idk why but most of the songs all feel incomplete to me! Still, some great tracks
I can understand that many people don't like Tek, It's very simple and feelingless but that's the best part of it. This is the style that you can crush the dancefloor :D
The Vid is awesome! Tekstyle is apparently with rather soft kicks and a bit less melody. This is really interesting, as the kicks are less hard, but there is more focus on them. Tek is not bad, but definetly not my main direction.

UK hardcore nowadays is strongly influenced by Hardstyle. Especially when Da Tweekaz started Tweekacore as a project and opened up a label with Darren Styles that already was known for the genre. It’s generally just faster than Hardstyle but kicks sound less harsh and usually have more of an offbeat bassline.

I think tekstyle is just the type of genre you eventually grow into if you listen to it repeatedly, at first I really couldn't stand how weak it sounded but the more you listen to it you realize its hard in its own way but depends of the angle you view it from.
Been requesting this for a while and maybe you notice sometime: It would be cool to see Happy Hardcore vs Jcore or something like that! Or what about Hard House (a la Junkie Kid) vs Rawstyle?

it's basically the same, uk hardcore is just happy hardcore made after year 2000 so it will sounds different
