Last week I bought some kalanchoe plants online. They are just single stems. I potted them in 4"plastic pots with equal soil,sand and vermicompost. In 2 of them the flowers dried and I cut them. I have kept them in shaded bright area. I live in Bangalore and now the temp is around 34 deg. How can I make them bushy and When should I fertilize them. Are they slow growers . TIA. BTW I'm ur new subscriber.

Thankyou for this wonderful information, much needed. I am facing a big problem, my Kalanchoes have been attacked by some insect which lays it's eggs in the leaves and larvae eat up the entire leaves from inside and leaves an empty shell. The plants are becoming disfigured and stunted.
I have used Neem Kawach pesticide. I am spraying 3ml in one litre. Looks like may be there is some effect. Is this the right pesticide? What should be the frequency of application? Do have any other suggestion?
