i don't know if they've become a thing, but i definitely feel like spider in Season 2 has a possible redemption similar to adam from sex education. his character compared to the others was very superficial, but it was clear that he has some importance in the narrative, i think maybe they will show a more sensitive form of him.
now that harper has sorted things out with amerie, they need new conflicts between her and malakai, and i think maybe the spider narrative will come into play, just as i think they will develop dustin with some feelings for malakai.
