I've been enjoying your blogs from probably the beginning and I'm so impressed with how you guys parent and interact with each other - totally example worthly! Also - you are so relax when it comes to all the mechanical stuff like setting and tearing down camp. I've sure been enjoying this journey. Thanks for sharing!

So excited to see this glacier national park video! Been waiting for it! My family has been a big fan of you all since some of the first episodes! I think what makes you all special is that you keep it real. Reminds me a whole lot of my own family. Your family will look back on these videos long after it has all passed. That’s very special.

I check in to your video posts, occasionally - intending to begin a f/t rv life in a couple years (sans kids). With kids? You are amazing! "Attitude is everything!" I say that a lot. You live it. Even when things aren't going exactly the way you had hoped they would. Stay strong, stay focused. Keep the faith. You're journeys are awesome! Glacier NP is beautiful! So, thank you. Thank you for sharing your life with us. May God bless you as you continue to roam.

Don’t worry, those Glaciers aren’t going to melt by 2030. They’ve been there for thousands of years. They would be over half gone already if they were going to melt. Pam has lived here for nearly 30 years and nothing has changed. It snows, up to 30 feet deep up there and gets compacted by the wind turning to ice pack every year. It melts a little, and gets rebuilt during our 7 month winters. We love you guys! We’ve watched EVERY ONE of you videos. Blessings from us Western Montanans! And yes, our one ton truck barely fits up that road... we have to pull our mirrors in every time we’re up there!

My wife and I enjoy watching you vlog, I find myself smiling the whole time, mainly because it makes me so happy to see a young couple taking care of each other and their children so well. May God continue to bless you and watch over you and your family, safe travels and take care. Mike & Martha.

Hello guys. I've been watching your channel for a while now, and enjoying your grat work more all the time. I live in Kalispell, so grew up going to glacier. It truly has been discovered, but is still plenty rugged. Camping there is very difficult these days just because of the amount of people trying to do so, but the beauty is something people need to see. Sorry I missed you, would have loved to visit. Happy travels.

Wonderful so glad you and the kids got to experience it.
I’ve been up there and the road has been closed due to snow. One visit on 4th of July I took a picture bare feet on the snow it wasn’t far from up there at the Logan Pass visitors center. Lake Mary is gorgeous too along with the lodge at west entrance. I’ve been in June and end of August and both times the upper road was closed due to tons of snow. Going to the sun Highway has a short open season. There is a beautiful small lake on the way up, called Lake 5, recreational cabins and boats to rent.
My mom and her dad were raised there in Kalispell.
Best Buffalo jerky is there on the west side of the lake about half way. I know my dad has ordered over the phone, it’s that good. I was raised here in Portland Oregon area, many trips to Montana and Wyoming.
Sulfur springs or pools becomes such a great smell practicals no soap required ya come out so clean. There are so many great places to go out there.
One of My favorites is Lewis & Clark Caverns (no they didn’t discover it) but I don’t recommend any younger than a well behaved 3 year old that can walk all the way and if you’re old and stiff and walking is limited then it’s not for you. But it’s my favorite out of all the caves I’ve been to so far. It’s a couple hours to do go early because it’s done on tours and educational. Make sure kids don’t have to potty and have had their naps and lunch.

I was surprised they mentioned that the glaciers were “disappearing “. That is nothing more than global warming hyperbole! God is in control and while we need to be good stewards of the earth he has given us. It isn’t so fragile that our CO2 emissions are going to destroy it like some would want you to believe.

    • @pda4you

The glaciers are indeed retreating and many are now completely gone. NPS is guessing by 2030 the largest two will go inactive - just as they said in the video. A couple of the glaciers are growing but not outpacing those retreating. Here is the NPS page with some great images showing exactly what is happening: www.nps.gov/glac/learn/nature/melting-glaciers.htm
It is by far my favorite National Park - everyone needs to go!

Your mean scaring poor Laine. Lol. We just got our Generator fixed on our RV. It would run but wouldn't generate electricity throughout the RV. My poor husband Jim was getting so frustrated. He took the Generator out of the RV. And went through everything with a fine tooth comb. And it ended up being a wire that came undone. Fixed the wire, cleaned it all up ( he cleaned the radiator to it after what happened to you all). And got it going. So now we can camp once again. He has been fighting the problem for a month. With different people giving advice. They don't make our generator for RVs anymore. Some parts are discontinued. It's a 2007 Sun Voyager RV. So it was so frustrating. We did buy one part for 350.00. But everyone wanted a fortune to look at it. In all he saved us 4,500.00 by fixing it himself. It's only got 500 something hours on it. I'm finally getting use to being in front of the camera filming a Vlog for TH-cam. I have 3 videos filmed. But now comes the hard part. Learning how to edit. With prayers, and God by my side. My channel will be up and going by Monday. I finally decided on a name and it just feels right to my heart. Its called "NEW HORIZONS ". I know I had another name. But just something inside of me said it wasn't right. This name just feels right. So I'll keep you informed. So you can watch it. And please be honest with me. Tell me where I can change anything about it. I truly trust your opinion. I have followed you all from day one. And watched your channel grow. So I know that you would give me honest tips and opinions. Please. God bless you and your family and safe travels.

It was $20 per night there! And no I don’t think you can take your truck on that road. I would check with ranger station before you try it.

Yeah, the 21-ft max has been the rule for some time, though 50 years ago we traveled on it in a chartered Trailways bus coming back from the National Jamboree. Of course, back then, Glacier wasn't nearly so popular. It was my favorite park, and I dragged my family out there often. We were just there in late August, and it was wall to wall people. Hiking some of the popular trails was like being on I-95 in DC rush hour. I miss the old days when my boys and I could fish Avalanche Lake and never see another soul all day. A good break from the crowds is to drive up to Waterton Lakes NP in AB. It's not a long drive, the park is gorgeous, and it's not nearly as crowded. You'll need passports but it's well worth it.

There are several ways in which fill your fresh water tank. There Is a gravity fill door on each side of your coach. That way you dont have to take anything off. Not sure but there maybe a vent pipe coming out the roof of your coach that may have had Mud daubers(bees) build a nest in the top of that vent . On the water issue again if you have a 90 gal tank and most faucets are 5 gals a minute, (most lol). I would try the gravity fill behind the door first just to see if there is a difference. And go from there.i know you'll be glad to get your Jack's repaired.

We always go places not dressed properly, lol. We’ve spent WAY to much money on visitor center clothes to try and stay warm. Don’t feel bad lol

I know the Chicks Life are Christians but unfortunately I don’t know the faith of other TH-cam RVers.

You if you knew where you were going you would know about the road and it's restrictions. they have obvious reasons. When I worked at Denali NP in Alaska people would come there then be afraid to get out of the car because they found out there were bears there?????

2020 there are no glaciers, that there are no glaciers on the going to the sun road

  • @roydavis2242

I have to write down that site number because it looked like it will work for our 45 footer. The disappearance of the glaciers is merely a possibility. When I was in elementary school back in the mid 50s, they taught us we were heading toward another Ice Age because the glaciers were growing.
