@15:38 I remember in the weeks after the 9-11 attacks people chatting about how the Microsoft Flight Simulator for 2000 or 2001 let you fly into the World Trade Center towers. Microsoft did some tweaking on their next public flight simulator software.
Another great explore. I’m with you on copper thieves and anyone who trashes places for no reason. As you say must be 100’s of millions down the pan when they could have got office reclamation in to remove desks and chairs but now they are beyond it with all the water damage. I’ve been in places like this and I could smell it in my mind. Anyway, onto the next one, sounds exciting. Andy UK
Hey Buddy It is Snowing Hard Here in Qualicum Tonight . Pacific Moisture Meets Coastal Inland Winter Outflow . Should look Cool tomorrow . Thanks for the Series Bro .
This is why I love watching Matt’s videos, he actually knows what he’s talking about, I’ve seen a few videos on this place that was just a lot of umming and erring, umm, big building, err some old bits of stuff. Really fascinating to see this, the two 737 simulators have likely been left behind as the type is obsolete, that particular marque has virtually died out, it dates back to the mid 80’s and BA ceased all 737 operations by 2001. It’s likely that prior to closing they would have made side revenue allowing other airlines to rent the simulators but the 737-400 is a very rare bird these days, most still around will be around 25-30 years old, the one that went down in January was the same marque and age will likely be a major focus in the investigation. The two empty halls were 747-400 simulators, they were likely sold as that type was built up to 2008 so will fly for years to come all though mostly cargo now, covid has killed the big jets Fun fact about Boeing's, the flap leaver has a miniature flap for its lever, the undercarriage a small wheel, the spoilers a miniature spoiler etc. The theory is that the pilot has a back-up, if they were under a heavy workload or there was smoke etc they could operate the controls by touch and feel. Airbus all you get is a joystick and generic switches. Keep up the explores matt, keeping us all sane in lockdown!
Great video Matt, I luv how u explain everything and yr history of these places and things is amazing, also the pipes thefts annoy me too, theres no need for it, and for what little they get, it courses thousands of pounds worth of damage like u say, thanks for sharing, really enjoyed this, luv it when u and Jordan go out together u both make a great team keep up the good work 👍💖 x ps-great views to ur right, x
The sim computer mainframes have been removed. What you see are the systems that drove the CRT image generators (projectors) on the old Sims, tech was 1980s pre COTS computer tech.
Glad to see you back there I enjoyed part I looking forward to part II We are being spoiled there’s a part III to this can’t wait RIP Owl 🦉 I had a feeling part III would involve security
Very good redifusion simulation was in my town on the industrial estate , I had friends that worked there , went for a visit once it was bought out by thales they still have a massive site in crawley.
This place is so huge and very interesting. Aaaawww poor little barn owl. Good explore this one Matt x went to watch part 3 Matt but it showed up as private x
I worked with those DEC Servers back in 1990..... that computer stuff is really old.. Also Sony UMATIC gear ages it all. This place most have been obsolete well before it was closed.
Can you tell me and I would appreciate an answer why I cannot get Version three of this series of videos it says private and it will not play can you tell me why please
Hard to believe all that hardware just abandoned. When they opened the new facility with new equipment, they could have sold the old stuff to other countries, or repurposed it somehow.
The amount of money that was sunk into this - you can see why someone would want to keep air travel going as much as possible even in a global pandemic.
I'm surprised they tried to sell the ti-980 that's a super old machine setup. We're talking one step away from flipping switches and using punch cards still.
Makes you wonder why people do not clear out the buildings so nothing to look at and people would stop going rather than having to pay security over the years to keep people out. They must pay a lot more in security over the years compared to what it might cost to remove everything . Not that I am complaining nothing there, would mean no Matt and we can't have that
Cranebank. Look on google maps. I'm not surprised that security turned up. You don't need to wander around with torches at night, it's usually bright enough to see once your eyes have adjusted.
Does BA still own this Matt? So disgusting they are laying off thousands of staff and they allow this massive building to go in decay but could easily have leased this out to various companies needing office space
Amazing vid, loved it. Can't believe a place that size with all that stuff in it just gets left. So wasteful.
Part 2 was spot on , enjoyed very much and now waiting on part 3 Mr Williams. Cheers a lot👏

On the one hand I love watching you explore these places but on the other hand I hate that these places have been left like this.
Very good redifusion simulation was in my town on the industrial estate , I had friends that worked there , went for a visit once it was bought out by thales they still have a massive site in crawley.
Can't wait for part 3 of this.
This place is so huge and very interesting. Aaaawww poor little barn owl. Good explore this one Matt x went to watch part 3 Matt but it showed up as private x

Great stuff matt. I see you have had a look around Bristol. Have you been in the caves behind the docks in Bristol. That would make a good video.
fantastic explore Matt I loved all of it, keep up the great videos.
I worked with those DEC Servers back in 1990..... that computer stuff is really old.. Also Sony UMATIC gear ages it all. This place most have been obsolete well before it was closed.

29:18 definitely looks 1990s vibe or maybe 1980s looks like they have abandoned the old part of the building. And started training in the new part

The Denon amplifier in the rack is the PMA 735R they're gone for around about £120 on eBay 😳☺️🧐
hi matty its called an annex skywalk
Disaster recovery room? Looks like there has been a disaster! Hahaha
I remember years ago it was my job to sort and catalogue all the microfiche we had in our building not the most exciting job I had.
When part 3
The secret vault... to infinity & beyond
First video got removed before I could see it.
it's still there for me.🤔🤔
Uploaded again
There is just building after building to explore. I bet there are tunnels, airports love underground infrastructure.
Hard to believe all that hardware just abandoned. When they opened the new facility with new equipment, they could have sold the old stuff to other countries, or repurposed it somehow.
not that it matters but found it on google maps because of that dogey roof between rolling black outs here in Texas

Was just at the start of the security chase in part 3 now the video is private
Matthew Williams you are a tease 😂
Cool

Heathrow airport view you could, NOT Use your DRONE for a urbex Chase BECAUSE that would be Bad
Nice to not be wearing the headlamp.
Having Chat issues up grade on phone
reminds me of left for dead 2 mate lmao
MATTHEW IS IN HEAVEN CLOUD 9...lol....
That place is so disgusting why hasn't it been demolished.its a maze of messy confusion.
Costs money to demolish places, costs next to nothing to walk away.
that is a such a shame re the owl
yey 👍👍
Splitting your team is good way to get someone caught.
Cranebank. Look on google maps.

He might be able to see, camera wouldn't
😜 Disaster recovery room 😃
Does BA still own this Matt? So disgusting they are laying off thousands of staff and they allow this massive building to go in decay but could easily have leased this out to various companies needing office space
👍👍😎
Of course they left all that behind.... Its old and irrelevant the cost to move it is just not worth it.
Liquid Pigeon Shit Lovely 😷🤮
Maybe a programme for Epstines island or even Biden's.
😁
8:30. Matthew that doesn’t say urbex world it’s says urbex untold!!!! 😡
Wonder what the land is worth that all this crap sits on.
