So after nearly a year of procrastination, I finally took the R8 to get some window tints. We also have been having a weird issue recently. Under load with hard downshifts, the car seems to stutter a bit as its slowing down. In all other scenarios the car drives and shifts perfectly fine. We brought the car over to B. Rogue to have Brandon take a look, performed a transmission relearn and are still chasing down the issue. The car still sounds and looks so epic with the full titanium exhaust! I work at a shop in Naperville filming all the cool cars there. We've had force-inducted R8's come through and they're absolute nightmares. I'd suggest avoiding turbos if you wanna enjoy the car consistently. It already sounds so good!!
I agree. Not because I know of any mechanical issues but because why would you want to mess with the awesome NA V10 exhaust note?

As always, loved the R8 video. I had actually filmed my cup holder cover going all the way back. Just never uploaded it haha. Keep up the great work.

@@EddieX I have noticed the slight skipping if you don’t give enough gas downshifting. It reminds me of driving a manual in low gear and now providing the right amount of throttle. I see that on my RWS occasionally. Just great Eddie, now you’ve made me conscious of it haha.
Sounds freaking amazing on those fly bys! Hard to beat a V10.

What year is your R8?
I had my R8 windows tinted and no one wanted to do the front windshield. Both Audi and my regular shop said they were concerned with fluid dripping forward in front of dash.
When changing your badging to black, you can also get the side "V10" and the front "R8" badge located in the grill in black.
Consider leaving the front rings off the car. If you don't like the look, you can always add it.
Please do not mess with that awesome V10 sound! Glorious.
3M makes a window treatment that no blocks UVA and UVB that is clear, plus all the way up to 20 or 22. Works great in Phoenix, Az
I had CR90 on my windshield interior and it cut glare too. It's expensive but worth it. 3M Chrystiline I believe it was called

@@EddieX did you take it to audi or have another shop do it. Cause my audi dealer claimed on resetting the transmission but I dont think they did. Your the only one that I found that has the same issue. If you can LMK that would be greatly appreciated

Why can’t you get a Z06? Are allocations hard to find?
I don't know if I can or can't. Working on a few options. Allocations are effectively all spoken for until deep until the second model year and many dealers are requiring significant ADM

Was it happening during downshifting 3rd to 2nd to 1st and while braking hard? It happens on dual-clutches when the gear ratio is high, e.g. 2nd to 1st and stopping.

Honestly, I have never seen a R8 using CarPlay on the virtual cockpit. And it’s freaking sweet. Why can’t every Audi with virtual cockpit get CarPlay on the dash screen.
It’s pretty convenient!
